Vote for 2 Prospects for Lottery Selections in 2018 NBA Draft

This will serve as a current indicator for the general board sentiment leading up to the draft. You can change your vote(s) any time as many times as you want up through the end of the poll, which is set to expire the day of the draft on June 21st. This will also allow for neglected options to be added later, if necessary.

I'm not going to include the top prospects projected to be selected before our picks, but if there is news of an increased possibility that a particular player might be available late in the lottery, this poll can be edited to include him. However, keep in mind the poll resets every time I make edits to the listed options, so please continually check to make sure your current votes are registered.

Vote for 2.

I'm all in for moving up to 5 or 6 for Doncic or Bamba. But if we don't, I would go with Lonnie Walker and Miles Bridges. I like SGA most but don't think he will be available at 12.

Lonnie's game and what he brings to the table is pretty much same to Doncic without BBIQ and size, on the other hand Lonnie has the athleticism. We mignt not feel sorry after 2 years If Lonnie can refine his choices and improve his passings skills.

Miles is like a guy who will match with Tobias or Gallo on the wing right away.

I want a 6'7" SG, I don't care who he is. I'll settle for a 6'6" PG like Shai. I'm tired of being undersized and you have to be able to switch on D in today's NBA.

I'd go with Walker and I'd roll the dice on Elie Okobo.

Shai is very similar to Ty Wallace. Maybe Shai is better, but probably not very much. I think it's better to resign Ty and draft someone else. I'm not sure, but I would choose Walker and Knox. Wings are valuable in modern NBA.

2 Combos, 4 Players Among 4 Publications: SGA+Walker, Sexton+Williams

Post#6 » by Ranma » Wed Jun 13, 2018 8:48 am

Robert Flom, ClipsNation.com (6/11/18)
Jonathan Givony might be the most plugged in of any of the major NBA Draft writers, and he has projected one if not both of SGA and Walker to the Clippers for some time now. Per Givony, they make sense as fits on the Clippers’ roster (true), but there isn’t much other reason given for them being the selections. This would be a pretty good draft for the Clippers, in my opinion.

Hilariously enough, Tom Ziller over at the SB NBA homepage has the same picks as Wasserman, thus completing the cycle of mock drafts. Tom believes Sexton could be another Donovan Mitchell as a scorer, and also places Williams as the DJ replacement.

We are still too far away from the draft to take much solid away from the mock drafts, but it is interesting that between four major NBA sites with vastly different writers and perspectives, only four prospects are projected to the Clippers with their two picks. All the picks seem reasonable, but I wonder if the repetitiveness is due to the tight-lipped nature of the Clippers’ draft process, limiting journalists to guesses rather than intel-based reporting. The most certain fact about the Clippers’ strategy seems to be that they are willing to be flexible with their picks.

1st Poll Reset

Post#7 » by Ranma » Wed Jun 13, 2018 9:01 am

I've added Collin Sexton as an option to the poll, which now resets the results to zero across the board, so please cast your votes again. I considered Sexton in the first set of options but decided against it because I figured he'd be gone by the 8th overall selection, however, since he's apparently being mocked to us by at least a couple of notable publications, I figure it's appropriate to include him in an updated poll.

Sorry, Goner. Élie Okobo didn't receive more than a single vote and has not been discussed in any publications (I'm aware of) as a consideration for us in the late lottery as of yet. Of course, it's possible that could change, so we'll see what transpires in the next update should it prove necessary.

In any case, below is a screenshot of the prior results (along with my choices) before the poll reset for reference.

Reminder: Vote for 2.

If Doncic is available at 5 or 6 and we can trade #12 &13 to Dallas or Orlando, that should be a no brainer, we should do it. I doubt Orlando or Dallas would do that though. Chicago is more likely, if Doncic falls to 7. I think he goes top 3.

Honestly, unless there are some unforeseen shake ups, I dont like sitting at 12 and 13.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.
