I don't get us finding a backup PG when we've ran a perfectly fine three guard lineup. We could use an insurance policy, but there's very few of these type of PGs that could play in a series against Golden State.

I saw a good article that pointed out that one of the reasons we had so many offensive troubles was Ariza. Not because he’s bad in our system, but because Golden State took us out of it.

One reason they paid so much for Iguodala is because he can do what Ariza does AND provide a driving/shooting off the dribble threat, however relatively inefficient. When Ariza tries doing EITHER of those things, as we saw years ago when he played with us at age 24, he’s completely ineffective.

So they kept him from being able to spot up shoot, but tried to force him to have to drive or move and shoot.

Voila.

The modern NBA defense (finally?) caught on to the fact that you’ll do better if you MERCILESSLY attack the other team’s weakest links on the floor.

i really believe CP3 will tip off management whether Lebron comes or not well ahead of the July 1st deadline. If he doesn't come, the Rockets can get a head start on the free agents available this summer to move on. If he does, the rockets will start making trades. Either way, they will try and move Anderson right now.

Only the Spurs can ruin our chances of getting Lebron.

if lebron wants to go there, the spurs will find a way to clear space.

Disastrous off-season for the Rockets so far...if you take what the rumor-mongers say to heart.

If I've learned anything the past few weeks from the experts and Twitterverse it is that Lebron will tell the Cavs that he hates Houston and plans to abduct Chris Paul to go join FC Barcelona...but not the basketball team, but rather Handball.

Also, Trevor Ariza is taking a paycut to play for the Monstarrs.

I'm not worried about FIT, I just hope we don't have to GUT our roster to pay Paul/Capela and sign Lebron.

Either way, doomed.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

Am I the only one here that's a bit miffed that the NBA waits until the year Harden/Rockets win the MVP to hold all the NBA annual awards for the middle of nowhen?

The anticipation is killing me! I wonder who's going to be MVP? I bet it's not James Harden!

We are not going to get LeBron James or Paul George. Move on.

Luc Mbah a Moute - Do you want him back? Only have his early-bird right, so we need to use MLE if we want to sign him to bigger contract. Ran across old news where Kings failed his physical and void their contract few years ago. Reason ... right shoulder. The same shoulder he dislocated twice last season. IMHO, we better re-sign Ariza.

Tyreke Evans - He really improved his 3 point shooting, but kind of out of our price range. We do need a 3rd ball handler.

JJ Redick - I actually want him. We don't have 3 point specialist that actually shoot better than 40%. May give discount to play with CP3 again. Sixers most likely will re-sign him for more money.

Will Barton - Just had his best season. Not going to be cheap either.

Joe Harris - Another one just had his best season.

Michael Beasley - Anyone want him back?

I'm okay with that. I like the idea of getting JJ Reddick. We could use a more consistent 3-point shooter. Our biggest priority is to somehow move Ryan Anderson, and free up some cap space.

So CP3 signed, Ariza leaves for Phoenix.

Now it turns to Cappella. Good sign for Rockets that Mavs signed DJ for 1 year 24.1 million.

Why would Hawks take on more salary?

Weren't they about dumping salary the past couple of years?

Rockets have to really offer first round picks to dump Anderson's salary.

It was just something mentioned by fans on another rockets forum.
