Hawks / Blazers trade idea

Post#1 » by Blazers20 » Wed Jun 13, 2018 7:00 pm

CJ for the 3rd pick (Bagley) and 30th pick then after 7/1 Blazers S&T Nurkic for Plumlee.

1: Schroeder
2: CJ-Bazermore
3: Prince
4: Collins
5: Nurkic

Hawks improve and becomes a playoff team and avoids a complete rebuild but at the same time improve their team.

This looks like us just treadmilling some more. That lineup isn’t making much noise in the playoffs.

THIS ISN'T A BAD TRADE OFFER...

But we're not interested in the quick fix.

That line up is likely a playoff team in the East...but we're now aiming higher than simply making the post-season.

Thanks, but no thanks.

Hawks pass easily. We are not rushing this rebuild.

This would've been an excellent trade for our Dennis/Millsap team. Certainly not now.

The Nurk part is included as an incentive but is really questionable due to being illegal. Possible, just not part of an original trade.

CJ would be an all star caliber player in the eastern conference.

Yeah, he's also going to be 27 when the season starts and making an average of $28M a year.

This trade makes zero sense for us directionally.

Hey just to piggyback, what about a much smaller trade:

24 for 30/34

You guys have a ton of picks, so this lets you move up and consolidate. For Blazers we get an extra cheap salary. Think this is something that would make sense for both teams?

I'd rather keep both picks. 6 spots isn't that big, we could just stash an international player at #34

Is the OG my other account ..CJ was my boy but not in this rebuild. We couldn’t afford to trade #3 for Kawhi at this point...both guys I’ve alwats supported too but no thanks.

Sounds like you Blazers folk just wanna see us burn well lemme tell you something...I will not allow it. Go back to your hive and make the rest of Portland aware that the Hawks are determined to fail for years to come.

I would have loved this for the squad with Millsap and Al. But we aren't at that level even consider this at even 1%. Then again, we would have never had the #3 pick.

No interest in the opening trade but this is one I'd consider if Schlenk falls absolutely in love with someone who likely won't fall to 30.

If we take, say, Khyrie Thomas with 19 and Dzanan Musa falls to 24 I'd be all over this trade.

You're certainly getting closer.

We might ask for a future protected 2nd rounder...but, yes, we'd definitely consider this for a draft night trade.

This one I would be interested in.
Let's change it to #24 for #30 and you get your 2020 2nd round pick back from us.

Easy pass. Hawks didn’t tank all season for CJ.

My goal is to walk away from this draft with Melvin Fraizer and Jevon Carter.
