Barry Bonds took Nationals pitcher Mike Bacsik deep in the fifth inning to become the New All Time Home Run Leader. Bonds was 2-2 with a double and two runs scored when he hit the record breaking dinger to deep center field.

Way to go Mr. Bonds! Against all Adversity, you stuck to your guns, held your head high, and did what you do best. Congrats!!:bowdown:

He cheated, as many many players did, but he is truly a spectacularly talented player.

it was a good moment

fireworks, the kids, Hank Aaron spoke, heart felt speech

one thing that I always liked about Barry was with everything surrounding him, he was always baseball. Always spoke baseball, always cared baseball. He never gave in to the circus around him

I don't know about the steroid thing, but this truly was nice to watch. Congrats Barry!

I can't wait to tell my kids in about 15 years how I saw this live, but by then A-Rod already broke the record, so I hope I get to see that too.

EDIT: 1999 post, where should I place my milestone?

It was a joke.

I do believe A-Rod will though.

I can't wait to tell my kids I saw a record broken by a cheater and a record tarnished by one Giant douche forever. Thank you Barry Bonds.
