Bamba doesn't surprise me, just a typical Harlem hustler. Probably left Schlenk with a pack of white tees and his mixtape along with a good feeling about drafting him.

Why would you say that about a fellow African?

Did I say anything negative about the Malian and fellow Harlem native? Naw, not unless you think being a "hustler" means just conning people. Nope, that just means get to the bag by any means necessary and to sell a product you gotta sell a product so being prodigious and eloquent of speech is a basic requirement.

Reminds me of the time I sold website software in the early 2000’s...I was shoving grandma type businesses in platinum packages... I felt bad they didn’t need it...

Grizzlies Explore Trading No. 4 Pick To Unload Chandler Parsons

The Memphis Grizzlies have explored the possibility of packaging the contract of Chandler Parsons along with the No. 4 overall pick.

Parsons is owed $49.2 million over the next two seasons.

Parsons has missed a combined 94 games over the past two seasons since signing a four-year max contract with the Grizzlies in 2016.

A rebuilding team with cap space could absorb Parsons' contract to add a high draft pick.

This is the deal we've been waiting for.

Forget the CHI trade down or the Denver/Faried trade....this is the deal.

We trade #19, our 2019 1st round pick, (top-7 protected) for Parsons and #4...

Then draft Doncic and JJJ and call it a day. (We include whatever contracts necessary to make it work.)

Jamaaliver i have a question for you :D ... I will copy what i wrote in other thread and tell me what you think if it would involve ATL.

Today in an interview, a friend from Luka Doncic, who is also his teammate in Slovenian national team, this morning revealed ( probably by accident ), that Clippers want Luka and is a high chance they will trade for him. Apparently they are willing to trade for the nr1 or nr2 pick already.
He knows that because Doncic told him. And there must have been some contact from the Clippers organization with Luka's agent. Clippers could still obviously go in other direction, but reports from a few days ago that Clippers are highly interested in Luka apparently are very true.

So if Kings go with Bagley it means LAC could call ATL... What are your thoughts ATL will do?

I 100% believe our front office would gladly do a deal to trade down from #3 and garner multiple assets, but I can't find one that works featuring the Clippers.

#12 and #13 isn't enough to jump up that high. And they don't have the types of players we'd want back in trade.

Plus the Clippers owe a lottery protected pick to Boston next year.

They'd have a better shot working with Memphis on a deal and exchange of bad contracts.

Code: Select all

The Nuggets are aggressively seeking to shed salary by trading forward Kenneth Faried, and the Hawks are willing to accommodate them for the right price, according to a person with knowledge of the NBA trade market.

The Hawks would seek draft picks, young players or both as part of a deal with the Nuggets or any other team that wants to reduce payroll. The Nuggets own the No. 14 overall pick in next week’s draft, and their expendable young players include recent draft picks Malik Beasley and Tyler Lydon.

The Hawks could easily absorb Faried’s salary under the cap while acquiring more assets for their rebuild.

This definitely feels like a precursor to SAC considering a trade down. They couldn't possibly take Wendell Carter at #2.

Read on Twitter

The Kings will host Duke forward/center Wendell Carter Jr. for a visit of the team facility and to meet with team officials Saturday.

Carter will not work out this weekend. Kings general manager Vlade Divac and assistant general managers Brandon Williams and Ken Catanella attended a workout with Carter in Los Angeles on May 23.

Carter (6-foot-10, 259 pounds) averaged 13.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.1 blocks and 2.0 assists as a freshman for the Blue Devils.

If we trade with Denver to obtain the #14 pick, this is the kid I want:

I really hope the Grizz are dumb enough to trade the #4 to offload Parsons. It takes a special kind of dumbass to think they can be back in contention though.

If we were to miraculously find a way to get #3 and #4 in this draft...is this the pairing you'd go with?

I think I'd prefer Young and JJJ as they would pretty perfectly complement each other. Trae would feed Jaren for so many easy buckets...it'd be the new ager Stockton/Malone.

And JJJ would cover up so many of Trae's offensive defensive mistakes...that'd be a fun duo to watch grow together.

I wonder if the fact that their 1st round pick belongs to Boston in one of the next 3 years plays a role in that desire...

Making the playoffs as the 8th seed, letting Celtics settle for the #16 pick in a weak draft might be part of that motivation, no?

That's a logical fallacy though. The Celtics owning their pick is a sunk cost. It doesn't matter whether the Grizz make the playoffs or if they're really bad, they're not picking either way. They need to be looking out for their own best interests, which is having a young premier building block for their rebuild.

44pts (on a 40min game), made that way, in the first round of french playoffs, against (and on the court of) the best team of the season is something that never happen in french league, for a young guy like him. It's only one game, but it says something interesting.
