I don't care about the generic analysis from dario saric, pau and the rest of the euro birds of a feather.

Lol @ trading up for a player that someone who has faced him said struggles mightily with any type of athletic player that is his size. Luckily the bulls fo are smarter than any of you and won't do any of the terrible trades suggested.

Once again you insult those who like Doncic and are willing to trade up for him. So how was I being obtuse?

Basketball is a simple game: make more points than the other team. You can do that by making a lot of points or preventing the other team from making points. The actual game is a balance of both, but with the way the rules are now offence > defence, mainly because of 3pt shot and pick and roll. Offence weighing more is also why Ayton, a negative defender, is widely considered a top pick.

The way I see the Bulls heading is scoring oriented, as it should be, but in an environment of pick and roll and 3pt shooting, there is always a need for a rim protector. The question is whether 7th pick is a a good pick to get a rim protector. I think it's too high - unless that player is more than a rim protector. I believe that Bamba and JJJ will both be more. I'm especially intrigued with Bamba and his physical tools, the mere presence of his reach will force opponents to rethink both their offence and defence.

This is also why I am comfortable with the thought of Trae Young. He passes well, shoots the 3 and is a able with pick and roll, and that will win you games. So what if his defence is weak? Let Marcus Sma... I mean Kris Dunn take care of that.

We don't need to think in terms of PG, SG, SF, PF C. We need to think about offence and defence, and maybe frontcourt and backcourt. How do we use the players to get the ball to the basket, and stop the other team getting it to our basket. This is why I'm comfortable with MPJ. He is a pretty well rounded player, he can pass (if he wants to), and he can put the ball to the basket. He's a front court, that's it.

There will be a good player for us at 7th. He'll be a frontcourt or a backcourt player, who will have certain strengths and certain weaknesses. Some have weaker offence, some defence. Then it's Fred's job to make those players into an unit that puts the ball in the basket more often than the other team.

If I'm oversimplifying here, I'm sure I'll be corrected, and learn something in the process :)
From the basketball's perspective, travel is a nice pause from being pounded to the floor.

Doncic,JJJ, an Bamba they should go all out and trade up for. Bamba is going to change the league, his length and wingspan alone will eventually make some team hard to score on.

I've been liking this guy's scouting reports this year and I like this one for Doncic. He is definitely on the pro-Doncic side of the debate, but I feel as if he does a good job expressing why a lot of people are so high on him.

i do think the consensus against porter has maybe gone a little overboard in the negative direction.

the selling point, from how i look at it, is that he is a potentially elite shot-maker with elite size and good athleticism. that's a really good starting point for a prospect — i think the significance of the size, in particular, is underappreciated. when you've got that as a base, even if his handle/post game/defense isn't where you'd like it to be right now, it makes his growth a lot more reasonable to project going forward.

i agree with everyone who thinks he's more likely to succeed as a 4 than a 3 going forward. create a lot of action for him, don't let him become a ball-stopper/pounder, let him take advantage of more plodding guys where his weaker handle is not going to be as big of an issue.

he's far from my favorite prospect and the back just makes things worse, but let's not pretend there's not a reason he's a top prospect

I haven't insulted anyone, I'm mature enough not get offended and hurl insults if people have different opinions than me + I know these mods are like high school hall monitors who take their jobs serious so there's no point.

But I have been called xenophobic and having "garbage posts" because I consistently point out the level of comp/athleticism in euroleague doesn't compare to the nba.

Taking on parsons contract to move up, trading dunn,#7,portis and 22 or whatever other terrible offers to move up to draft this guy make no sense to me and that's all I've said. They're incredibly shortsighted trade offers for a guy that several think will be a franchise changing "superstar" & he won't be. I'll bet the house on it

Doncic and MPJ are 2 of the top 3 on my board. Would be very happy with either, especially Doncic. Don't see either happening though, unfortunately.

for all the anti porter people grizzlies & mavs are your best hope.Don't know if it's a legit smokescreen or real info

I read other teams sites on the reg and a few top 5 teams fanbases and the mavs reporter want to trade down with the bulls because they think the bulls will give them picks and players to move up to draft mpj.

Despite myself being open-minded to Porter being a stretch 4, I would bet on Zach having better numbers (except for rebounds) and seasons than him for the next 4 years. Zach can be an alpha-scorer too but I want the Bulls to have smart scorers who can affect the game in other ways positively. Both these guys aren't built like that ATM and they probably will never amount to that IMO.

If the Bulls trade up, I rather them try with the Hawks, the Kings, or the Mavs. The Grizzlies are trying to sell their pick for too much money.

I'd trade any 2 players + #7 or any player + #7 + #22 to move up for Doncic (excluding Lauri).

Man I've been so focused on the top 7 I forgot Philly has 10 and could potentially add one of the players we're evaluating to their already stacked squad

So who's this Jerome Robinson guy and why does he have a green room invite? Has anybody seen him play?

Had never heard of him before this week. The podcast analysts say he's a talented scorer but can't guard a chair. I'm not sure who promised him what but the green room invite came out of nowhere.

ESPN’s Ian Begley:
Some members of the Knicks organization came away ‘very impressed’ by Kentucky’s Kevin Knox after his performance in workout with the team last Saturday, per league sources. Knox worked out with a group that included Michigan State’s Miles Bridges. Knox and Bridges competed against one another in the workout, per sources. After the workout, members of the organization club inquired about Knox’s remaining workouts, asking if he had any workouts with teams drafting ahead of New York. That’s standard for the draft process, but perhaps indicates the club’s level of interest in drafting Knox. Knox is currently projected to be drafted at No. 9 by the Knicks in ESPN’s latest mock draft.

If he goes 8th or 9th like I projected when we fell to range.......
