If MPJ goes #2, that changes everything

Problem is, it doesn't stop the factor of Doncic landing in Orlando. They 'may' love Trae but I'm taking the 6"8 PG over him every time.

01 Ayton - PHX
02 MPJ - SAC
03 JJJ - ATL
04 Bagley - MEM
05 Doncic - DAL (I would lean towards Doncic over Bamba due to Dirk's mentorship)
06 Bamba or Trae - ORL (can't call this one, they could easily go in either direction, Bamba will anchor a defense forever)

Our decision may wind up between Trae, Mikal & WCJ
Doncic isn't falling to 7. I've accepted that fact. If the Bulls want him, they have to move up.

My board is Young, Bamba, Carter, Porter in that order.

we didn't work out huerter before the injury, right? he's my low-info fave at #22 right now

Bulls23Nation wrote:Seems like Bagley would be the logical and best pick for the kings, but will be interesting to see if they throw a wedge in this. Seems like they are doing some pretty extensive MPJ digging according to Sam Amick. If MPJ goes top 5 that will open a major door for doncic/bamba to fall to the bulls. If it goes Ayton, MPJ, Bagley, JJJ, Doncic/Bamba, Young, Bulls get to pick between who ever is left between bamba/doncic. That would be amazing.

GA has Bamba to the Bulls. Bamba!

I’m sure they want to use both picks to have two rookie salaried players for a while.

The last time we tried to move up by trading two draft picks and other assets, it did not work out well. McDermott was kicking asses in college, but it was not too long before we realized that the game was too fast for him, with too much information to process. So, I really have no faith in that kind of move. I will remember all your names who are pushing the idea that the Bulls should trade 7, 22, Dunn and Portis for a chance to draft Doncic. I believe Porter or Wendell Carter, at 7, by themselves will very likely end up having better careers than Doncic.

Hell, I think even Mikal will be better. And I agree, no trade ups. Last time we did that it pretty much turned out to be the nail in Rose - Butler eras coffin. Having 2 positive assets turn into 1 negative asset (plus 3 2nd round picks on top of that) completely left our cupboard bare when later wanting to add to Jimmy

If we are going by hype trains, JJJ is probably the least hyped of the top 7, maybe he's the one that falls.

Still hoping we can move from #22 to #14 by taking on Faried's contract.

To me, JJJ is the most desirable one out of the 3. He's the least talked about, which means he's probably not going to be there at #7. But I do hope he falls to us.

I think Hawks take Luka or Trae.

I think JJJ may be the one to fall. Which would be a miracle... until Pax passes for Wendell’s carter.

Why do people assume Atlanta wouldn't take Doncic? I almost never see him mocked there...

Is there a player that you're targeting at 14?

Orlando is interesting to me because they obviously need a PG. But let's say Bamba or JJJ fall to 6. How do you pass up on that? You can either keep him or trade him to a team willing to move up and offer a prospect.

I'm assuming they're keeping Gordon and will match whatever offers comes his way, so they're locked in at the 4. And Isaac is 6'11" and his growth plates are supposedly still open which means he may get to 7 feet. He might wind up becoming a 5 if he bulks up to about 235-240. No way will he remain a 3 IMO.

I hope their love for Trae is bigger than JJJ or Bamba then. Because I'd be thrilled with either.

He would fit their most pressing need.....a primary ball-handler. Thing is Doncic will be a forward in the NBA. Prince and Collins, their two brightest prospects, currently reside in those two positions. Unless they move Collins to the 5 and let Doncic play small ball 4 (he's probably not ready for that yet). It's sorta similar to the Phoenix Suns. He fits perfectly the offensive side, but they would take a huge hit on the defensive side of things unless they can acquire a lead guard with 3&D capabilities.
