The Way Too Early Prediction Poll

So Gores has made the push for the eighth seed by hiring Casey. How's this going to pan out next year?

They'll win a game I think. A series is probably a long shot at this point. We will see what kind of roster changes come this summer though I don't expect much of a change.

Depends on health of the roster and who we're playing, where lebron goes. If we're in 7 or 8 we'll probably get swept by lebron or celtics

It depends on the health of the roster, as Spider said.

The issue is that we've got two very important players who routinely miss large chunks of time.

I have us doing anything possible to get that eighth seed - taking on lousy contracts, blowing future cap space, trading away future firsts, playing our best players to the brink of death..... and we make it in the final week!

Gores shows up for the final home game, grabs the mic and declares the season an overwhelming success.

Then we get murdered by Boston in four straight, and set the franchise back another five years.......

It depends on our health, but if I had to guess I'd say no. There's talk Jackson will never be the same even if he is on the floor, and you sure can't trust Blake in that regard.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

He looked decent at the end of last year despite being rusty and out of shape. I just think he's never going to stay healthy for 82 games, and it's clear we rely on that.

Or we need to stumble on a Brogdon-type in the 2nd round.
