If Doncic did fall out of the top 5, no way ORL doesn't take him 6th overall

You guys think Young to Atlanta is true?
It probably is, now that I'm finally locked into taking Young for us.

You listen to him speak for 5 minutes and you can tell he's intelligent, polished and mature for his age. None of these things are negatives. The negatives that maybe get glossed over with the hype train of polish and physical astonishment are still his questionable motor and raw offensive skills. And those are real concerns. But he's still a fantastic potential one of a kind type prospect.
Who said they were negatives? Everybody is intelligent in their own way so that doesn't impress me like it does others. He's not a one of a kind prospect or else he'd be going 1st. He's another tall guy that blocks shots that some think can be some offensive force which I don't see.

There are none so blind as those that choose not to see.....

We should hope Atlanta takes him, as we need both Young and Porter off the board for Bamba (seems to be the board's general favorite at 7) to fall to us.

We're in a good spot. Managers are actively trying to trade down because these guys are so difficult to differentiate. Hopefully they reach on Ayton, Bagley, JJJ and MPJ, leaving us with one of Doncic, Bamba or Young. I'd be cool with Carter, but he's really not that big of an upgrade from RoLo. I can't believe so many of you still want MPJ. Even if he ends up being the best player in the draft, what if he gets injured? This organization couldn't handle that again. People know his weak spot and guys like Draymond will target it. Even if he's 100%, which I hope he is, he has to be careful how he lands and twists. If you're tentative, you can't reach your full potential. Hope I'm wrong

I'm taking the talent and a reasonale amount of risk. If the talent is real. Because all I care about is championships. A guy that is less of an injury risk yet has less talent might only get me into the playoffs. Which I don't care about. If he gets hurt, I gave it a shot. I'm going for it. The way I see it, I have nothing to lose. On Porter specifically, his medicals were good. So.....full speed ahead.

Still can't see MPJ going ahead of us, just can't.

So basically I'll believe it when I see it.

NecessaryEvil wrote:At 6pm today, we will be exactly 4 days away from a era altering experience for our young Chicago Bulls. I have finalized my # 7 pick list and here are my reasonings. Good luck to us!

#1 Mo Bamba - This guy forms a duo w/ Lauri & we have one of the best, highest upside front courts in all of the NBA. For the next 10 years, our big guys are solidified w/ a SUPER defender & SUPER scoring. Both will learn from one another and their games will feed off of each other. This is my DREAM scenario for thursday night. Both of these players will need to learn to pass much better going forward but w/ two guys as smart as they both are, I see nothing but un-selfishness and championships at some point.

#2 Michael Porter Jr. - MPJ, Zach & Lauri trio up to provide the bulk of our scoring for the forseeable future. All have potential to be #1 scoring options & multiple year all-stars. We'll never lack shooting the three ball ever but they will all seriously need to become better defensive players. A scout/analyst on ESPN a few days ago described watching MPJ play in person as 'tantalizing'. Best case scenario? He leads the NBA in scoring one day, worst case? He's another Iso Joe Johnson.

#3 Mikal Bridges - The impact that he & Dunn alone will provide between Zach & Lauri would be tremendous. I see Mikal helping Lauri in a number of ways, always having his back and guarding his man for him when the opportunity presents itself. He'll always spread the floor with his three ball & I absolutely love the power he puts in his dunks. IMO he's pretty unique. I see him in the Klay mold or as a better version of Andrew Wiggins. If he develops a handle, 20 NBA player and all-NBA defense every season.

#4 Trae Young - I have no idea how he fits, I realize he's going to get put in the action on the opposing teams offense on a nightly basis but his ball handling ability and Steph Curry-like range make it hard to pass up on a guy this offensively gifted. He completely destroys the order of our perimeter attack since Dunn is no SG nor is Zach a SF but how can you pass on him? If he's the only elite talent left at #7, you have to take him. Even if he's a poor man's Kyrie/Curry hybrid, how many of those guys exist in the league? A PNR w/ Lauri is frightening for any team in the NBA. Lauri already likes to take guys to the rim from the three line out. PNR, PNP, pick your poison? They're going to kick a** together

honorable mention - #1 Kevin Knox (moving up the board like Mitchell did last season, I called it)
honorable mention - #2 Wendell Carter (wasn't a fan of his at Duke but looking back on his game, he is going to be a solid big)

God will have on his Bulls cap thursday night.

8-)

I'm with you for Bamba. Same if somehow one of the others ranked high fall (like JJJ or Bagley).

I rank Mikal ahead of Porter and Young. And you know, I'd rather trade 7 if stuck with anyone other than Bamba on your list.
