But that's okay, Im not expecting him to be a top 2 player in the NBA. But I will say Porter has a chance to be a 25 ppg scorer in the NBA. He is that gifted offensively especially for his height. I think people lose sight of how tall this kid is and how he can still grow. What he can do at that height is pretty impressive, he is basically 6'11". Look how Durant killed the Cavs and Rockets by pulling up for easy Js over his defender using his height advantage. Yes Porter doesnt have the wingspan of Durant but coming out of college he did measure taller than Durant.
Durant- 6'10 in shoes
MPJ- 6'10 ¾" in shoes
25 point scorer? Why do you think that? I ask because there is usually around or less than 10 players every season who scores 25 points per game. Point being, you need usually be a top tier player if he were to be one, and like you said, he doesn't have the handles or quickness.
I think he has the opportunity to be a scorer, but unlike you, I could see him being a 15-19 point scorer relatively quickly, but he won't ever be a top level scorer unless he improves his handles significantly.
Did you not read my post before replying lol. We were comparing him to Durant. I bolded them for you to help you understand better.
-Doesnt have the same quickness and handles as DURANT (a top 2 player in this league.) But he does have good quickness and handles for a guy that is pushing 6'11".
- CHANCE. I said chance... I can't say that about anyone else in this draft class. Why many quotes from teams came out saying his offensive repetoire was impressive.
