This is a business BW. The NBA Draft is a BIG part of their off-season and everyone involved want it to be must watch TV. This is about making money. You best believe the NBA has some insight on who is going where and when, because they damn sure don't pull names out of a hat. Plenty of hints have been dropped. Don't forget, everybody has friends and family and connections and they talk.

I knew about Paul Richardson Jr. going to Washington before it was a done deal, because his dad and I are like brothers. I knew about what was going to happen to Dez Bryant before it happened as well, because that info was a part of Jr's negotiation with Dallas before he signed with Washington, I only told one very close friend of mine who is a Cowboys fan. The info floats around bigtime, it depends on who has knowledge. I am sure McD's family know who we are taking and some close friends of theirs. No body is that tight lipped, plus most close friends get info because these guys are human, they talk like regular people.

Of course the Suns FO won't tell, but I am sure they got a hunch from somewhere. They don't need anyone's big board, just and idea on who is going early.....they know.

Yeah, I knew we were taking Amare well before the fact, but it's still all just an educated guess. Like the fact he came in twice to work out for us. How many teams they've worked out for, and they get more whispers than we do about who had good workouts and stuff. It's just the way you wrote it made it sound like the NBA office knew who was going at each pick or something.

Oh. Nah. That would be foolish. How did you know about Amare?

Lived in the same community as Suns coach Phil Weber at the time and saw him in the gym and at the pool quite often so we'd always talk Suns. I was surprised how open he was about things. Of course that type of thing wouldn't happen now.

Either his vision isn't as good as advertised or he doesn't care about following the law. This clearly shows a blatant disregard for authority and disrespect for the nation he is living in. Keep this kid out of Phoenix.

Too many people have put this kid on a pedal stool when players like him are a diamond dozen. For all intensive purposes its a blessing in. The skies that we can't trade up for him. I worry luka is just another pre-madonna that will take his natural ability for granite.

Yeah, it was kind of funny...he talked a lot...he played for Jimmy V at NC St (not much I guess) https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/phil-weber-1.html

Also talked about how he ran a basketball camp with Kiki Vandeweghe.

A few years later I moved to Denver and worked for a company that had a suite at the Pepsi Center so we went to a Nuggets game and in comes Kiki (same guy running the NBA Draft Lottery now) during the game just wanting to know if we were all having a good time and I mentioned Phil Weber so we talked for a while. My new boss who was sitting there was kind of just looking at me incredulously after he left "How do you know the GM of the Nuggets?"

Phil Weber is a really cool guy though.

I signed up for their Insider free trial to check out the draft content. It seems like it's more focused on aspects/concerns of players' games more than drawing conclusions on them, but definitely good information. Sounds like they are pretty low on where Bagley is as a defender right now despite mentioning his physical tools, and that they feel Bamba has dominant defensive potential but relies too much on his length over positioning with his shot blocking. I assume their Ayton article will be posted by Wednesday.

LOL!! That happened to me when I was 18. I was at a Raiders/Bears game in LA and before the game started I told staff security to tell Michael Haynes my uncle said hello. He played with him when they were on the Patriots. They guy walked across the field and told him and over walks Michael Haynes to me and a couple of friends that I worked with. He talked to me and asked how my uncle was doing. Lmao! He was so cool and my friends were blown away, as I was, but didn't show it.

this kid parked his car wrong

Ayton may or may not have left a good tip

proof there is too much time to overanalyze

analysis by paralysis

these guys are 19 - if they don't have knuckle head moments, i would be surprised

It's a website run by someone that has worked in basketball operations for NBA front offices with plenty of clips to back up their points lol, probably not going to find much better draft content.

Foliohattu wrote:If we would acquire the 4th pick to go along with the 1st, would you guys rather take Ayton at 1 and hope for Luka to drop to 4 (or pick Young etc if he doesn't) or take Luka at 1st and the best available big at 4?

Lets develop this question. :D

Luka is taken first. Do you believe Ayton would demand to be picked at four (because of everything he said and done till now) or would he rather be picked as number two because he actually want to be as highest pick as possible?

When did Givony become such a prick? When he moved to ESPN or was he always a prick?
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

They've really been pusing Doncic like no other. He literally has a pinned tweet about Doncic from january at the top of his twitter.

Givony also said that the Kings have had almost every top prospect work to get away from them. Bagley's the only one that has worked out for them, and apparently Bamba, JJJ, and Doncic aren't providing their medicals to them.
