I would do this

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ydh3jtgz

J Jackson + T Chandler + pick(s) (not the #1) = K Leonard

Then call Lebron and tell him "ok, we got him for you"

I love Kawhi but he's too risky right now especially with all this talk about him preferring to go to LA. Spurs and Kawhi gonna leave us high and dry

I just did the same thing. Outside of 5 Dimes it doesn't look like there is any real action. Bovada doesn't have us on their board and the Lakers are -135.

Maybe Dan Lifshatz works for 5Dimes or something because he says don't trust Bovada for any gambling lol

Yeah, thats the thing, everyone know's this so McD must be trying to work some magic or he wouldn't be risking everything for a rental.

But what is he working? There's no deal for Kawhi that wouldn't involve either #1, Booker or JJ imo and with him wanting to go to LA, it really might just be a one year rental. I just can't figure it out unless he really is willing to break up his timeline for this super risky player.

Funny thing is I didn't even know it was 5 dimes forever....and that happens to be the one I have money in...but I haven't bet in well over a year. I went in and it set betting was suspended. But I think the original odds he was talking about were on another site.

5 dimes only showed Suns odds and no one else but then it said betting was suspended.

suspended just for this one bet, or the whole site? The line keeps moving. If you really think this is happening, and it means LeBron ends up there, the bet to make is +40000 LeBron first game Suns, not Kawhi +330. I wouldn't touch either bet myself.

This guys sounds like a card shark. Does this have anything to do with the recent court decision about gambling?

Lifshatz had Horford to Boston, Hayward to Boston and both the Brown and Tatum picks. He’s not woj or shams but he has some credibility for sure. Take it fwiw.

Hello Dan Lifshatz

based on the above - it was all CEltics related

now , if true the Suns are sending 1, 16 and other assets for Leonard - I just hope they are getting Dudley and Daneils as the Suns will need money to still make moves. Granted, from a cap perspective - I have no idea if 1 &16 count as 10m so with Josh that's 15 so pretty close to making the math work.

and 2 - most importantly - he has to agree to an extension of some sort - no extension, no trade

i really have never wanted Kawhi from the get go. I get when healthy a top 5 player - but I just am not sure this is the right move

Ayton, BOoker, Jackson - build your core and see this thing for the next 8-10 years

Short flight to LA - no need to sign with Lakers. Suns have better pieces to surround Lebron. Lebron needs shooters.

Sure, we could have Ayton and JJ signed and have complete control of them for the next 8+ years, but Booker/Kawhi/Lebron and whatever other FA decide to come along on the ring chase would immediately volt us up to the top of the league with GS and Rockets (If they can keep their core together). Sure we might not be able to keep Lebron for more than 3 years, but that also means that Kawhi would have re-signed with us, and even after Lebron retires, we would still have Booker and Kawhi. Not only that, but we would turn into a FA destination again, just like we were in the Dantoni days when we were winning 60 games a season. Booker+Kawhi+some solid FA would be able to keep us right up there at the top for years.

But it would all depend on if Lebron is coming....and if Kawhi was willing to sign that extension. It would take both of those to make me ok and feel comfortable trading #1+JJ+The rest of the guys SA would take from us.

I was thinking about this on my drive home from work. If you could guarantee one Suns championship with Book/Kawhi/Leonard and go another couple times deep with those three and then roll the dice with Book and Leonard after that for awhile (maybe 5 years)...would you take THAT, or having Book/Jackson/Ayton (or Doncic) for the next 10-15 years and roll the dice? I wonder what would win in a poll.

I've always liked watching homegrown so I'd probably go for it. It would be exciting for a bit but being another stop on the LeBron tour....I think I'd rather have our own stars for a long stretch.

Though I think if we could get a re-signed Kawhi without trading the #1 pick or Booker you have to do it.

A while back I did research and I came to the same conclusion. Bad reviews on most...best on 5dimes.

totally agree. a core of Booker/Kawhi/Ayton is worth it now and in the long run

So if we can get a resigned Kawhi and we're happy with his medicals, do you think it's worth #1?

I don't even like Lebron and I'd have to say yes, especially in your scenario where we are guarentteed at least one. We've never won and we'd still have Booker after that. That being said I really wouldn't want to deal the #1 and JJ unless Kahwi was 100% resigned, healthy, and bringing Lebron

Booker, Kawhi, Lebron, Ayton = Kawhi will resign

Booker, Kawhi = probably no Lebron

Booker, Kawhi = Kawhi will not resign

McD is about to be on ESPN on the East coast. Could be different in AZ, but I’ll let you know if he said anything interesting

I'd rather throw assets at whoever to land Luka than Kawhi

Return to Phoenix Suns
