Your "pet" players in this year's draft?
Everyone has special favourite prospects. Putting aside the lottery guys, who get plenty of discussion already...
If your team is outside the lottery, who would you most like them to land? Or, who would you like your team to acquire a late 1st or early 2nd to snap up? Or if not, anyone special you'd just like to follow?
I am intrigued by Omari Spellman (especially since the Jazz could use a stretchy big, but I like his game anyway), and Gary Trent, Jr. (mostly because I was a big fan of his dad's).
How 'bout you?

Troy Brown is probably the non lotto guy I like. And I think Grayson Allen will be a decent NBA player.

I've loved Troy Brown for a couple years now. I also like Grayson Allen, Shake Milton and Gary Trent jr.

I want Kevin Huerter, I think he has all the tools for Budenholzer and his staff to mold into a quality rotation piece. I get why you'd want a higher upside pick at 17 but I'm just so damn sick of drafting complete busts, I want someone with a clear NBA skill-set.
I also like Troy Brown.

Fraizer, Khyri and Jevon. Looking for length and defense in the back-court.

I yell this just about everywhere, but I’m going to say it here as well. Melvin Frazier and Khyri Thomas look like tremendous prospects and I think they are being completely overlooked. If the Kings had a pick in the late-teens, I would be smitten if they took one of these two.

Kevin Knox looks like a great prospect of the non top 5 lotto guys.
Otherwise I'm hoping the Nets come away with
1 of Hutchinson/Bates-Diop
1 of Spellman/Wagner
Without breaking the bank as in
#29, 40, 45
$5m cash
Indy #2

Thomas should be a late lottery pick early 20's as a floor, severely devalued by most mocks for no legitimate reason.

Aaron Holiday due to seeing him as a young man going down tot he Rec League/young AAU level. Along with seeing Jrue play at Campbell Hall (don't recall seeing Justin unfortunately).
De'Anthony Melton for similar reasons, as I saw him play for the Crespi Celts here in the 818.

Either member of the Duke backourt to Dallas in round 2 would please me. Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk if he's there at 54.
In the mid 1st I like Miles Bridges for somebody.

I think Theo Pinson is going to be a huge steal for a guy who isn't even listed on most 2 round mock drafts.

I thought I would be unique by saying Troy Brown, but apparently that's not the case.

There are three guards of theirs to be taken.
Gary Trent, Grayson Allen, and Trevon Duval. Which two do you mean?
I can get on board with Trent, and I actually would love Duval in the second round.
I'd be shocked if Grayson Allen makes it to a second contract though.

Re: Your "pet" players in this year's draft?
Luka Doncic, Zhaire Smith, Kevin Huerter (recently), Khyri Thomas, Keita Bates Diop, Gary Clark, Landry Shamet
Even Mikal Bridges to an extent (i like his immediate impact, i don't know what his potential is, but i think from day 1 he should be contributing), Kevin Knox long term also is intriguing (i think with the tools he has, he could end up being a massive steal).

I'd be happy with any of the 3. Was talking about Duval/Allen fwiw

Re: Your "pet" players in this year's draft?
Spellman and Wagner for bigs. Also sort of interested in Metu. Bruce Brown and Grayson Allan for guards.
Jordan Walsh goes top 10 in a 2023 redraft.
