A random SB blogger tweeted he has a source that says the Bulls like MPJ 1 Mikal 2. Setting aside it is just a random blogger, the Bulls don't know who would still on the board if MPJ was gone. So in essence, the Bulls have Mikal over the other guys in the top 6? It doesn't even make sense. At best, it's a smokescreen for Carter. Most likely is simply bullsh#!

Woj, of all people, said on ESPN that 90% of everything you hear leading up to the draft are lies and BS Either somebody trying to make a name for themselves and get hits, or just bad info intentionally put out there to deceive. I'm paraphrasing of course but that is the gist of what he said.

Anytime you hear "X team reportedly likes so and so player"... or "it is rumored that x team is interested in x player at x spot" or "x team wants to trade down or up because of x reason".... you just have to laugh. It's all nonsensical drivel. No team is going to let any REAL information about what they are planning leak out there to anyone. Especially not some blogger or reporter, or talking head. That is not to say that there are not SOME valid leaks out there, but they are few and far between and never intended for public consumption. People get fired over that shiiiiit.

Fake news.

Bamba, Carter and Porter Jr is what I've heard this past week. It's been quiet lately. It's actually too quiet. Hopefully I could get some good information in the next 2 days.
It's a nice quiet. The Bulls usually have their business out in the streets for everyone to talk about. The entire league knew they wanted McDermott, I am sure that didn't help with trade talks. The bball world knew about Hoiberg 6 months in advance too. I am happy there is finally silence.

I'm pretty excited about the possibility of walking away with one of Bamba, Porter, Young, or Carter (in that order). I think all of these players could be high impact players.

Apparently the Wizards want to trade down and shed an EXPIRING CONTRACT. What is wrong their front office? Also, they gave Wagner a bunch of workouts so I guess they're targeting him.

They are an underachieving team with a massive contracts on their roster.

I'd select one of Beal or Wall, and just rebuild on the fly. That team just isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

It's exactly that, nothing.

At some point, you exhaust yourself talking about the draft, that you just talk nonsense and hope it's worth furthering a discussion. Like you said, without specifying which teams, or at least examples of the teams, then it means absolutely nothing.

He said "good teams" are high level playoff teams. Of course they like him, they have multiple star players already and Doncic can just be a shooter & facilitator.

Kind of a meaningless statement by Givony.

The worst times to follow the draft are the 3 days leading up to it. So many lies, so much disinformation and so many "journalists" wanting click bait.

:banghead:

Unfortunately, it's also the most exciting time.

The silence coincides with Pax taking a larger role, which makes sense. Pax always kept his cards close to his chest early in his tenure.

Who would they have #2 on their board - Carter or MPJ?

A few posts back, I wrote the following:
1. My #1 guy on my board is Bamba (we aren't getting Ayton or Doncic). I am really enamored with Bamba's potential and ability compliment to Lauri to maybe form a top 5 frontcourt (I Embiid/Saric will take that the #1 nod).

2. MPJ at 7, poses too much potential to pass up

3. I would be pleased with WCJ as our pick. Won't be amazing, but will be rock solid IMO.

That is true about Pax. I think we should just get rid of Foreman but that's just my opinion.

Over the last 2 days I've warmed up to Trae Young, making me fine with basically any option at 7. I've honestly never been like this before. I've always had "my guys" and this year I don't. I have preferences, but I'm okay with any of MPJ, WCJ, Bridges, Young, Bamba, Doncic at 7.

We're in a good spot folks.
