Villalobos wrote:The Kings/Bagley thing wouldn't surprise me at all. IIRC every top prospect except Fox didn't want to give the Kings their medicals last year and they picked him. He was the only one who actually wanted to go there. Could be the same with Bagley who seems to want to go as high as possible no matter where.

Doncic has no problem going here. He’s been complimentary the whole time, but the picture w/Vivek and Vlade and his social media emoji depicting Viveks hand gesture were telling that he knows where he’s going

It will be Doncic

If we make that pick and he is on the board in convinced it's him. Knox, Shai, and Smith all have been rumored in the top 10 at one point or another. Wonder if any will be there when we draft.

Its probably better to rip that bandaid off sooner than later. Release tyler and have the max extension sent to booker at the same time.

Yeah... Doncic, Ayton, and Bagley are the prizes of the draft.....Then Trae was always my number four.

FYI, this is in NYC. Bagley and others will also be there. Verizon is a draft sponsor; NFL does this too.

Just finished it. I recommend it as well. This draft seems much harder to predict than in years past. Still hoping for us to come out of nowhere with a trade on draft day, but we shall see.

Listening to this made me want Luka even more though. They talked about someone (Kevin Pelton?) calling him the best draft prospect since AD.

Also, since Ayton is predicted to go number 1, seems like there is very little discussion about him anymore from analysts/journalists/etc.

I also think the kings are taking doncic and its just a little smokescreen.

It wouldn't shock me if bagley fell a bit.

I am really high on Shamet and like Okobo as well, but yeah, we cannot pass up on Smith if he is there. I don't know if we necessarily play him at PG. He isn't a PG on offense, so we would have to be committing to point Booker at that point, and he still needs to work on speeding up his shooting release though he is decently accurate as a shooter, but he has a ton of upside and a decent floor as well given he will be a great one on one defender from day 1. I

think one of Shamet or Okobo falls to 31 though, and I actually think Shamet should start for us if we get him. He can score from all 3 levels, is the best shooter in this draft aside from maybe Young, and is a heady player on both sides of the ball. He would help our spacing so very much, and his size is a good fit as well.

I was hoping for Smith or SGA at 16 but there are a lot of teams reportedly trying to get into the top 10 for SGA, so I think that ship has sailed unless we move up for him, which I would not prefer. If we are moving up it should be for Doncic or Young. Knox I could see falling to us in a few unlikely scenarios. Wouldn't complain about him or Smith at 16.

It's just weird because we have too many PGs and Ulis was very promising as a rookie but just terrible as a sophomore. I think it depends on how Phx views his real value. Is it closer to his rookie play or sophomore play? But with Knight here we already have a backup, and Harrison outplayed Ulis and probably has more upside so that is 3rd string. We need to find a starter but there isn't room for all of these middling PGs. Could we send him to the G-league for a couple seasons and then let him go when Knight is gone?

Unfortunate. He would have fit really well here.

You never know with NY. They could do something crazy and draft Lonnie Walker.

He wouldn't repost it if they weren't taking him.

I'll say it again, there's a much higher chance the Suns take Doncic or Bagley at #1 overall than the freaking Kings pass on Doncic. It's almost pointless to see it any other way.

I disagree, I think Ayton is an absolute LOCK and I think Doncic slides.

I don't remember her, her dad and the Kings GM all posing for a photo together...my god? lol wut.

We can bet on it about Doncic dropping past Sacramento if your up for it. Like I said in my mind, there's a near 0% chance it happens and greater chance that the Suns change minds on Ayton which is also slim to none imo.

Return to Phoenix Suns
