I'll say it again, there's a much higher chance the Suns take Doncic or Bagley at #1 overall than the freaking Kings pass on Doncic. It's almost pointless to see it any other way.

Well Viveks fine-ass daughter just started following Bagly on Instagram yesterday, only prospect in the draft that she is following, so what now?

She wouldnt follow him if he was going to be playing for a different team! Where is your god now?

I don't remember her, her dad and the Kings GM all posing for a photo together...my god? lol wut.

We can bet on it about Doncic dropping past Sacramento if your up for it. Like I said in my mind, there's a near 0% chance it happens and greater chance that the Suns change minds on Ayton which is also slim to none imo.

While i am in favor of drafting a pass first point guard I really am feeling that we are going to take Zhaire Smith if he is there and try to turn him into a point guard (at least defensively). He fits the type of player that McD has drafted or brought in the past. He can cover points defensively and offers a 3pt shot that we are lacking on some other players. I think he ends up book ending the other side of Booker with Josh Jackson.

If we make that pick and he is on the board in convinced it's him. Knox, Shai, and Smith all have been rumored in the top 10 at one point or another. Wonder if any will be there when we draft.

I was hoping for Smith or SGA at 16 but there are a lot of teams reportedly trying to get into the top 10 for SGA, so I think that ship has sailed unless we move up for him, which I would not prefer. If we are moving up it should be for Doncic or Young. Knox I could see falling to us in a few unlikely scenarios. Wouldn't complain about him or Smith at 16.

Looks like SGA and Knox have rose over the last week and Smith has settled back into that 13 to 18 range. I can easily see him going to the Clips and the Wizards right ahead of us.

Another guy who looks like he might slip - maybe as low as 14? - is Miles Bridges. I love his make up as a player. Close with Jackson. Freshman season he and JJ went at eachother in the Tournament. Came away super impressed with both. Miles is a guy who will slip but make an impact early. Might be my "the next Donovan Mitchell"

I was looking at recent insta posts and damn she looks a lot different now. Idk if she's using more makeup now or had surgery or something before than now. And I'm not talking that far back either, like even just few months.

As the #NBAdraft approaches, the biggest question surrounding Luka Doncic is if he is athletic enough to be a star in the league… In addition to possessing great positional size and very competitive lateral acceleration, Luka demonstrates elite, Harden-like, physical qualities associated with braking/change of direction compared to our #NBA database. Our Director of Biomechanics provides a breakdown.

BUT... Slow... Bust.... Jokić is a better athlete... Euroleague sucks....
:D

And here you have a great breakdown of his game against Baskonia written by one of the best posters on RealGM(IMO) Lavta. It's long, but it's worth your time

I like Miles (not in my top 8 but this is a damn good top 8). I haven't really considered him for Phx though because I don't think he will fall all the way to 16 and I think if we trade up (assuming we take Ayton), it will be for Doncic, Young, SGA (the PGs) or Mykal Bridges (elite 3 and D wing) or Porter (perimeter 3/4) just out of team need. He would be awesome if he did fall to 16 though. I am praying for Smith because I think he's the last guy with really high upside who might fall to us at 16.

Highly doubtful that makes it to #31 but yes would be a perfect fit for #16.

A lot of mocks have him dropping to the 12-15 picks. It's a lot easier to get there than to 7-10 where some of those others might slip to. He may not be in my top eight either but he is just outside it.

I don't know about that. I've seen a few mocks that have him there at 31. It's tough. The draft is deep at the top, then I think it plateaus a bit from 10-20, and then gets really deep again with not much gap amongst guys. Khyri Thomas is a great fit for us, but I don't see us reaching for him at 16.

I'd rather them reach for him than Holliday or Shamet.

gambo also said if they draft PG at 16 - Ulis will be released

Its probably better to rip that bandaid off sooner than later. Release tyler and have the max extension sent to booker at the same time.

Yup. If we're gonna move on from Ulis, it's best to do it before Booker gets the extension.

If the Wiz offer to move down from #15 to #31 with the Suns to dump an expiring contract like say, Kieff's $8.5M, I wonder if the Suns would consider it emotions aside...

The answer to that question is also the answer to who we should take with the #1 as well.

A tiny part of me wants Luka to suck with the Kings so that we can trade for him for cheap and becomes a star with us ala Victor Oladipo.

But then the human part of me wants the kid to succeed right away for all the hard work him and his coaches have put in.

Based on history, they'd probably take Ayton No 1 and take Doncic in the 2nd round (maybe 57th pick).

Yeah, it was kind of funny...he talked a lot...he played for Jimmy V at NC St (not much I guess) https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/phil-weber-1.html

Also talked about how he ran a basketball camp with Kiki Vandeweghe.

A few years later I moved to Denver and worked for a company that had a suite at the Pepsi Center so we went to a Nuggets game and in comes Kiki (same guy running the NBA Draft Lottery now) during the game just wanting to know if we were all having a good time and I mentioned Phil Weber so we talked for a while. My new boss who was sitting there was kind of just looking at me incredulously after he left "How do you know the GM of the Nuggets?"

LOL!! That happened to me when I was 18. I was at a Raiders/Bears game in LA and before the game started I told staff security to tell Michael Haynes my uncle said hello. He played with him when they were on the Patriots. They guy walked across the field and told him and over walks Michael Haynes to me and a couple of friends that I worked with. He talked to me and asked how my uncle was doing. Lmao! He was so cool and my friends were blown away, as I was, but didn't show it.

Funny thing about Kiki Vandeweghe, when I was younger my parents had a party or some friends over at the house or something. Well someone that came over wanted to talk to me because my Dad brought up that I was a huge NBA fan. The guy mentioned he was good friends with Kiki Vandeweghe and wanted to test my basketball knowledge and I answered whatever question he asked. I then went to my room and brought out some vintage 1990 basketball card of Kiki, and the guy said he'd get it signed for me. He never gave it back to me though. This was probably close to 20 years ago now.
