Which player embodies Fiz ideal vision for a system in this entire draft?

-Already advanced at 19 playing in the second most competitive league in the world. LTI (length of time to impact) will not be high
- Better numbers than Dirk and porzingus in same league.
- Consummate Positionless player.
-A playmaking power forward. If he makes it to 4, I could see them making the trade with Memphis to get him.

I feel like this is a FA period that will run like hitting the discount rack. Not top tier talent but a lot of solid players going for at or below market value.

Forgive me if posted already...but is there any way we can get in on this?

PG makes a ton of sense for them. Hell he makes a ton of sense for a lot of teams because his skillset is so malleable.

I am driving myself nuts. I keep looking at the standings. Maybe if we didn't go 3 and 7 in our last 10 games we would have been in 7th and discussing a wider range of prospects. We do we always have to Knick?

Did you check out that lineup Cleveland put out on the last day of the season? Dotson won the Miami game himself, so it's not like we played vets who carried us. The only crap win was the Wizards game. Starting the season with how KP played we are lucky to be drafting in the top 10.

And this right here is why I give the VERY SLIGHT edge to Knox over Mikal. After seeing Frank bulk up, I truly believe he can play small forward and a versatile power forward becomes our biggest need.

Or does PG become our biggest need if we declare Frank is not our PG of the future?

Saying all the right things. I feel a bit at ease with Perry over past regimes. Seems like a true professional and this franchise has been running like an actual professional organization over the past year.

I think we can help Washington get under the luxury tax threshhold by using our trade exception to take on one of their expiring contracts and by doing a separate deal to take on another one of their expiring contracts for a player on our roster making less. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Would be worth it to get that #15 and that 2nd rounder (#44).

Problem is we're not really under the cap to use the exception for pure salary dump purposes. We would need Enes to opt out to do a deal like that and he's not letting us know pre-draft. So we're kinda stuck with what we have unless someone is willing to part with a smaller salary for CLee or LFT

The article says they want to trade down, not trade out. We would have to acquire a pick likely in the 20-26 region and then do that move to move up to #15.

Trae scares the crap out of me. I think it is more likely he becomes Jimmer or Adam Morrison than Curry. I don't even want to take a PG as I think Frank and Trae are enough. I'm not entirely in love with any of our prospects at 9. If MPJ falls I think you have to take him. I like Mikal as he has almost no bust potential and can be a 3-and-D guy day one. I wouldn't hate grabbing a big like Wendell Carter to pair with Porzingis.

OT:Joe Vardon of the Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that the Cavs will select Michael Porter Jr. at No. 8 if he's still on the board when Cleveland is on the clock.

Although Porter is projected to go in the top-7 in most mock drafts, there is a chance he slips due to the concerns surrounding his injury history (he a microdiscectomy of his L3-L4 spinal discs in November). Based on talent and skill set, Porter has a chance to become the best player in this draft class if he can stay healthy.
