Question, what are the main weaknesses of Bamba going forward? Lack of lower body strength? Motor? Questioning why he didn't dominate more in college? I think the biggest limiting factor for Bamba going forward is how badly does he want to hin. He has sky high potential but without the will and determination to reach it, it doesn't matter. Bamba neds to go to the right environment. He does not strike me as a generational talent that can be culture shifting, but under the right circumstances I can see him developing into a top 3 or 5 center.

Lack of lower body strength? Yep
Motor? He had a motor. He just wasn't always consistent at really anything other than rim and paint protection.
Questioning why he didn't dominate more in college? He did dominate at times, especially in the 2nd half of the season. He still lacks both offensive and defensive polish but the talent and skills are there.

Considering his supporting cast, he was more impactful to winning than Ayton and JJJ. Only players more important to their team winning was Young, Sexton, Bagley and of course Doncic. I do feel like some of the negativity thrown his way is misplaced.

The goals moving forward with Bamba will be:
Adding weight
Polishing his offense and defense
Really working to improve his stamina so he can consistently run at his pace.
And running a complex system that challenges him to do more on both sides of the court.

He has the highest two way impact potential to me in this class. It's not even close who's 2nd.

Gobert is a unicorn in that he has insane functional strength for his weight, and a surprisingly built lower body. Bamba looks more like Zach Collins in terms of frame at this point. Look at picutures of Gobert a prospect, wider hips, more well built frame, wider shoulders, etc. Bamba can become a beast, but its going to be difficult for him to do so. He has a Thon Maker type frame. Maybe even slimmer.

I think Bamba played this past season at 215-218. I think in most of the workouts he's tipping the scales at about 225 right now. I see him topping out at 240-245. Which, at 6'-11'/7'0' is right at where Kevin Garnett started and then played during his most productive years. Garnett came in somewhat thin but by his 3rd year he was around 240 lbs. And I don't remember him getting pushed around all that much. Maybe by Shaq, but Shaq was a unicorn. He pushed everyone around. Bamba will be effective at 240-245 lbs on both sides of the ball. The kid has demonstrated a very thought out and systematic approach to improving his body and his game ever since his season at Texas ended. Just the way he almost immediately improved his jump shot accuracy and the speed with which he gets that shot off shows that he takes to coaching extremely well. If he gets into the right situation he is going to be a game changer. He'd be perfect on the Bulls. A 4th option offensively that won't demand the ball, that will be an above average rebounder and the most elite rim protector in the league. And who can cover all 5 positions (for a short time) on switches. His short burst speed combined with his enormous stride means he can contest all the way from the rim to the arc in 2 strides. Bamba is this Draft's most probable unicorn. A player whose physical attributes give him an advantage that he understands how to improve and exploit.

I can see Bamba at 250-255. His has such long legs that you wont be able to see the weight on him like that.

Not really, Embiid was a monster defensively, offensively Ayton was better but the gap was not like on D.
