Yeah I absolutely hate the way he plays. What is his role, too? I could see some sort of bench scorer I guess.

That's depressing.

Im ok with them trading down into the 2nd and picking up a future 1st - to replace the Bledsoe trade debacle.

Maybe PHX wants to trade up.. give our pick back, swap their 2nd with #17. and give back our future 1.

I’d make that phone call. Especially if they like Wagner. If he gets drafted before PHX 2nd.. so be it, draft someone else.
Khris Middleton - Beating up on Trash Can Teams since 1943. Invisible Man status otherwise.

Seems like Clippers are high on Williams. That said, I think it's pretty likely that they deal at least one of their picks.

THANK YOU! Exactly. He’s actually decent and significantly improved in this area as well. The kid’s work ethic and drive is through the roof. Perfect guy to grow w Giannis, imho.

Latest Sporting News mock draft has the Bucks taking Jerome Robinson.

They have Huerter going 18 and Robert Williams going 19.

Exactly. I put him in my ‘Do not want anything to do with’ tier.

Smith is fine with me if the shot is there. I'm only concerned with the lack of volume.

Wouldn't be shocked if Porter falls more than expected.

What evidence is there that he can shoot? While he shot 45% from 3 last year, that came on barely one attempt per game. Every one of his 3-point makes I've seen came with boatloads of time and space to shoot. And he needs a boatload of time and space to shoot. He makes Delly's windup look downright speedy. That form is going to need some major rework to translate to the NBA.

And there's a lot of guys with great work ethics. MKG was drafted 2nd largely because of his work ethic. Six years later and he still can't stick a jumper to save his life.

Low volume, yes. Wasn't asked for that. BUT, regardless, there is nothing wrong with a player making wide open looks the last I checked. And, if you've seen any of his off-season/combine prep/heading to the pros work you'd understand his release has quickened. His form is solid. His mechanics are good. The kid is a legit legit prospect. If he's there at 17, with the Bucks player development team in place and an incredible shooting coach now in the ranks, you run the pick to the podium.

Zhaire indeed has a slow set shot but if he makes those you probably don't remake his motion. Not every player needs to be able to shoot contested 3's or off the dribble.

He doesn't have a quick release but it's not THAT slow. Bottom line is that if you close out on him, he can blow by, and if you don't, he can make the shot. It's going to take a special shooter to actually drag the defense away from Giannis. Barring that, you need guys who can cause problems with the advantage of being loosely covered.

Eh I think it's pretty damn slow. His pocket is very low and he takes a lot of time to go through his motion. That said the ball comes off very clean and the motion is easily repetitive. I have no doubts that he'll be able to knock down NBA 3's if left open. And as you said he can attack closeouts like anyone in the draft.

If you want someone who projects to be able to shoot over people and off the dribble or when contested, Lonnie Walker is a better bet but if you're not a ball handler that skill isn't as desireable.
The more I think about it the more I like Zhaire over Walker for us specifically.

A sample size of 40, which you chose to omit, does not a good shooter make.
