The money isnt the success only means to judge success. If Lebron's career had ended after his first contract would you say he wasnt a successful basketball player or even a person? No I wouldnt. Lebron is the best basketball player in the world today. He is very rare set of skills and should be paid to use those skills.
Just say no to idiots!!

Still standing by Orlando at #6 for Young.

Say what you want, Ayton is not the smartest one. Let's hope athleticism compensates for that.

Did he tell you where he heard it?

I wonder if we have Shai or Trae higher.

He said 98.7. I've googled around and haven't seen anything. I'm guessing they were just proposing hypotheticals.

its trades like this - and am guessings its Doug or Bickley - what bad salary are the Suns taking back - - JR Smith?

If we can get two of these players with this draft (without giving up booker or Jackson) we will have the best draft ever as Suns fans

Ayton, Doncic, Bamba, Trae

No one is trading a top 10 pick for Warren and Chriss and lower picks. These top 10 picks are a premium. If picks are moved it will be for either other high picks or higher profile players and lower lottery picks, like what Boston or the Clips can offer.

The Clippers have tried to plot a course that could push them toward a better position in Thursday’s NBA draft.

They have offered their own lottery picks, the 12th and 13th selections, to make a deal to move up, according to NBA executives not authorized to speak publicly on the matter and media reports. So far they have been rebuffed in their attempts to procure a deal for a top-five pick with the Sacramento Kings (who pick second), Atlanta Hawks (third), Memphis Grizzlies (fourth) and Dallas Mavericks (fifth).

The Clippers will continue to do their due diligence and talk with teams ahead of them in the draft with the hopes of getting a high enough pick to select European star Luka Doncic, according to the executives.

Looks like the Clippers aren't having much luck moving into the top 5 with 12/13 and filling pieces

Well it depends on what they are willing to do. Word yesterday was that they were unwilling to take back a bad contract like Parsons. Those teams looking to trade down really want cap relief, and if you arnt willing to provide that then youre s**t out of luck when it comes to moving up in the draft.

You're right, money isn't the only means of success, but for Ayton getting a second contract is. Now that can mean just money, but it also means that you're a legit NBA player. Being drafted, even in the first round, doesn't mean you're fit to play in the league. We get guys who don't get anything after their rookie deal because they aren't cut out for the league. Longevity is a barometer of success, as is financial compensation.

But yeah, insult Ayton's intelligence.

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I would guess we would have to take back JR Smith. In that case, Cleveland fans would celebrate.

Like me some Okobo at 16 if they go PG there, if they go for a wing I like (hope) one of the Bridges' or SGA somehow slips. I don't mind Troy Brown or Keita Bates-Diop but 16 is too early for both obviously.

Wouldn't be anti Okogie at 31 either to be honest. I'm just not sold on Zhaire Smith. I remember thinking Peyton Siva and Guillermo Diaz (waaaay back in the day) were these can't miss athletes but they just couldn't shoot. Smith feels like that sort of guy. And everyone knows my love for KJ McDaniels - another uber athlete who just couldn't shoot...
For all the talk that shooting ia fixable, a lot of bad shooters never even become average.
