No - the existing policy enforcement was change by this Administration.
And you should be moved - if you have kids - just imagine if you were traveling and they were physically separated from you (even by mistake). This should never, ever, ever be the case. Never.
Yes, the enforcement change was made because the loophole was being exploited in greater and greater numbers, incentivizing even more children to make the dangerous trip. And remember, each and everyone of these families had the option to claim asylum at a port of entry where there was no fear of being separated. But they did not do so. They were hoping to sneak in illegally, got caught, and THEN claimed asylum. Somehow, this is Trump's fault.
