What evidence is there that leroy said he shot 45% from 3 last year?

So what's the argument for taking him over Huerter then?

Did Henson also shoot over 40% from 3?

As was Brogdon (also NACB DPOY) and he's only been okay defensively in the NBA.

Thomas is Brogdon?

I'm going to be pretty bummed if we take any of Jerome Robinson, Troy Brown, Aaron Holiday or Donte DiVincenzo. They wouldn't be quite on the DJ Wilson level of bummed, but still.

I don't hate Troy Brown, kind of an underwhelming pick at 17 but I could understand it. DiVincenzo I'd rather us trade back and get. Jerome Robinson and Aaron Holiday I wouldn't even take in the 1st round.

Given the way the Bucks have drafted the last few years, I think it'll be the long athletic big - Mitchell Robinson. If it was my pick, I'd go with Donte Di - an excellent fit for the team - and the coaching staff needs to emphasize making more 3's. We'll have to hope the Thon Maker/John Henson combo improves at center. Huerter's the best range shooter in the draft, but I think he needs a couple years to adjust to the NBA. Donte Di is far more ready.

This is the first year in a long time I haven't obsessed about the draft... For a couple of reasons - I am a bit disillusioned with the league, I didn't think we were gonna have a pick this year, and not having draft express hurts. I haven't read any of this thread so maybe my fresh eyes will be interesting for you guys.

My planting the flag guys are - Miles Bridges, Brown Jr, and Vanderbilt. Guys I'm against are are Ayton and ... . "thank God I don't have make a real decision on" Bamba. Also, I can't wait to laugh at the team that drafts Knox. And...for the love of all things holy... I don't understand why Luka isn't going #1.

Based on Chad Ford's tier system

Tier 1
1. Doncic

Tier 2
2. JJJ
3. Bagley
4. Ayton
5. Porter
6. Miles Bridges
7. Young

Tier 3
8. Williams
9. Mik Bridges
10. Bamba
11. Carter

Tier 4
12. Brown Jr.
13. Vanderbilt
14. SGA
15. Z Smith
16. Sexton
17. Huerter
18. Divincenzo
19. Walker
20. Okobo

2nd round targets
#1 Duval
#2 Hall
#3 Brunson

Horst said the guy needs to be able to help out this year, so Mitchell Robinson would be pretty much the first guy that would preclude.

I haven't heard Spellman associated w/ the Bucks, but maybe they are playing coy. He'd fit the description. I keep coming back to him as a near perfect fit for the team and would take him because we aren't in position to gamble.

Think he looks great in this scouting video. Even the clips showing off his supposed weaknesses aren't bad. Product of over-competitiveness and was mostly just off by a half step. Made better passing reads in combine games.

There's nothing to suggest the Bucks will be drafting similarly to the past 2 years..

Troy Brown kinda reminds me of Jared Dudley. Wouldn't be the worst thing to pick at #17 I guess....

Is there any chance Zhaire Smith falls to us? I really think the Suns are going to regret not taking Doncic.

I am just not excited by the guys available to the Bucks at 17. Maybe an exception can be made for Robinson or Donte or even Lonnie Walker as they fit a need but not excited.

2018 NBA Draft pt 2 - NOW WITH A POLL

Post#1257 » by StickeeFingaz » Wed Jun 20, 2018 8:15 pm

Woelfel wrote that the Bucks front office took Holiday, Mitchell Robinson, and Mo Wagner out to dinner while they were in Milwaukee.

I think we all know what it means when the Bucks take a prospect out to dinner.

Other Gery tidbits:

-Gery said Bucks have shown great deal of interest in Zhaire Smith and Lonnie Walker.

-Source told Gery that the Bucks are one of the more active teams leading up to the draft.

-Source told Gery that the Bucks will look to trade their pick if they can find a veteran wing player.

-Gery said there are rumblings that Bucks want to obtain a top notch PG and have been exploring trade possibilities for Bledsoe.

I recall the Bucks taking Deyonta Davis for dinner leading up to the draft and everyone becoming excited.

Mitchell's the guy I'd be most excited about, despite knowing full well he may be another Whiteside.

Good call. He seems to be an afterthought in a lot of the draft talk, but he'd be an excellent fit for the Bux. And kudos to him for getting in much better shape. I'd really like to get 3 or 4 of the Villanova players - settle for Spellman and Donte if the Bucks can somehow get another pick - which seems very unlikely.
