Really don't want Parsons contract.

Why the f*** would the Grizzlies do that. You dont think anyone else in the league could top that offer...come on bro. Denzel and Grant dont have value. The whole point of Memphis trading down would be for them to shed salary...otherwise whats the point for them.

Someone send G Buckets down to the G League

Valentine is a good shooter on a rookie contract, Memphis has lacked in that department.

I'd also be willing to give them the ability to swap first round picks in 2020 if they were interested. Basically saying I don't want Parsons. Also the Bamba/JJJ do not want to go to Memphis so they may take WCJ instead.

Calm down the with corny trash talk, go take a nap.

I've said it before - Valentine has absolutely no trade value. He is a throw in to a trade at best.

Kid has a way of growing on you I must say.
One of the most intriguing prospects in this draft.

I'd say minimally you'd be adding some rim protection/help blocks, and a lob target,
and if the rest develops, holy crap...

Boston could probably top that offer in a heartbeat.

With what? Jaylen Brown?

Memphis wants to stay in the lottery.

They could get a lotto pick if they want...and they have Memphis #1 next year.

Valentine by all means is trash. He's your classic average at everything but excellent at nothing. He's a decent shooter at best.

Denzel Valentine is not trash at all, that's seriously pushing it

That's next year, Memphis didn't go through this season without walking away with a lottery talent is a good draft class.

Good shooter(38% on 5 attempts), rebounds well.

He's has shown to be a good role player thats young on a rookie contract.

Not necessarily, although imo Memphis should do everything possible for that pick to convert next season, it will only get trickier from there. Memphis' 1st round pick to Boston is protected for selections 1-8 in 2019 and 1-6 in 2020 and unprotected in 2021

Yeah okay that’s smart. Come back from surgery when your nonwhere near 100 percent. Sure sounds like he’s trying to help his draft stock.....not!

Wait. So you think not having any court time whatsoever, (i.e. at least showing he can do something as simple as RUN again), and then coming straight from HS woulda been a good thing?

Well we can agree to disagree then.

Yes. That’s what the private workouts are for. MPJ said before playing he was no where near 100 percent and did it to help his team win in the tourney.

Did you not see how bad he looked in those college games. He had zero lift. Look at all these posters in this forum alone dissecting his game because of those 2 college games.

Like I said that’s fine if u think that. Speculation is that teams are scared right now, even after private workouts, etc. I could be wrong, but I think trans at least feel a bit more at ease with the situation having seen him at least running up and down the court for a bit, regardless of how bad he looked.

Garnett said he sees a lot of himself in Bamba, noting that the first things he notices in a player are their “desire” and “passion.”

“It wasn’t by coincidence I reached out to him,” Garnett said.

Thanks for sharing the article. Reading that makes me want Bamba on the Bulls more. Seems like a kid with his head on straight.

Besides, posters aren’t dissecting his game from just 2 showings. It goes much deeper than that.

Ok so we're a day away. My 1st preference is to somehow get Bamba. 2nd would be MPJ at 7, then either Trae or Miles Bridges. Pick BPA at 22 if it isn't used to move up for Mo and I'll be very happy going into next season.

Draft show on ESPN

Woj says Doncic is Dallas's #1 target, know he's probably not falling, will need to trade up.

The difference between this quote and Ayton's one about measuring success by getting a second contract is everything.

I like both players, but I really like Bamba. I hope we can trade up and get him.

Maybe this is just me, but I feel that Ayton is downplaying his hype a little bit, seems like he just doesn't want to be too high, just being realistic.

I know that these are stuff that could easily be painted negatively in the media, it's not politically correct. I personally would rather see the work on the floor to judge a player more than his words.

I'm guessing ATL knows this too - hence the leaks last night about ATL suddenly deciding to take Doncic at 3.

A lot of teams could top that offer but that doesn't mean they are going to offer anything for the pick. The Kawhi situation may help the Bulls because it may force Boston to preserve their assets.

But also agree, Memphis would never do that trade.

Boston isn't trading Brown or Taturm for Bamba. Other than that, you think Memphis really wants a midrange Sac pick (similar to what the Bulls can offer now), and/or it's own pick back given that Memphis is trying to (i.e. thinks) they can push for playoffs next year? If Kyrie is on the table, maybe. Otherwise hard to see what's better than 7 from Boston. Where Boston has the advantage is in the ability to package say Brown with picks. Are they really doing that for Bamba and taking back Parsons?

Cleveland (Love+8) or Bulls(7+cap room) are more likely IMO.

Man... I love the smoke around us being after Bamba and trading up... but the fact that this is being leaked makes me think it isn't happening at all.

Nobody heard a damned thing about Jimmy getting moved last year until the day of the draft, IIRC.

Eighteen top prospects assembled at the Grand Hyatt in midtown Manhattan Wednesday to meet the media before Thursday’s NBA draft. Headliner and likely top pick Deandre Ayton drew the biggest crowd. But possible Bulls targets Mo Bamba, Michael Porter Jr. and Wendell Carter Jr. all generated significant attention.

The Tribune reported earlier Tuesday that the Bulls were “intrigued” by Bamba’s record 7-foot-10 wingspan and that they might be willing to trade up to the third or fourth spot in order to select him. The Bulls and Bamba, who played one year at Texas, have continued to stay in contact since his June 1 workout in Chicago. “It’s mutual,” Bamba told the Tribune, when asked about the Bulls’ interest. “I feel the same way about the organization and how I fit there. It’ll be pretty interesting to see how things work out, but the workout itself was great.”

Bamba has conducted his pre-draft preparation with Drew Hanlen, a skills trainer based out of Los Angeles. Videos of Bamba shooting 3-pointers under Hanlen’s tutelage went viral this week. Porter has also drawn notice — but for different reasons. Questions about his back injury, which cost him all but three games at Missouri, resurfaced when he cancelled a workout in Chicago with hip spasms. Porter was all smiles as he described how his life would change on Thursday and he sounded enthusiastic when asked about the possibility of landing with the Bulls. “I love Chicago,” Porter told a scrum of reporters. “It is almost like a smaller, less busy New York. But it’s a great city. I enjoyed my time there and the team — they have a great thing going over there. I have gotten close with a lot of Bulls players, so, I like them and that wouldn’t be a bad spot to land.”

Carter, meanwhile, stole the show at Wednesday’s availability with a cream Gucci ensemble. The 6-foot-10 big man is projected to be a top-10 pick after one year at Duke, where he averaged 13.5 points and 9.1 rebounds. . Like Bamba, Carter worked out for the Bulls earlier this month. “I just want to be drafted by a team that really wants me and that is going to be dedicated to making me a better professional athlete,” Carter said. “I am a hard worker. I will come in and do whatever I have to do.” The draft begins at 6 p.m. Thursday in New York.
