Pax: I really want this kid called Bamba

Reinsdorf: That's great Pax, but i'm watching Eloy in Charlotte right now.

Pax: Please focus.

Reinsdorf: Sorry, so get em.

Pax: He'll be gone when we pick, we need to trade for him.

Reinsdorf: Should have known, how much is the going to cost me.

Pax: $50 million.

Reinsdorf: .......

NBA Draft can be pretty tone deaf in some of their mock drafts. Its more likely that Bamba goes #1 overall than he does dropping to 8th or 9th.

Woj says Doncic is Dallas's #1 target, know he's probably not falling, will need to trade up.

The ESPN show has Doncic going #2 and Jackson going #3. If that happens, and the Bulls trade up (or have already traded up), do they take Bamba or Bagley?

not sure why you guys get so caught up in mocks. they are opinions, and some that don't even take position into consideration

I think the Bulls are fine with Kris Dunn over Colin Sexton. I wouldn't give that a second thought.

I love Marvin Bagley but I want Mo Bamba

They just said that if this guy develops, he's a Embiid/AD hybrid

I'll take Mo. I just think he and Lauri help eachother so much over the next decade.

I haven’t followed some of these sites in a while so this may sound stupid. But I know in the past nbadraft.net used to list their mocks according to their own prospect rankings, not according to team need or who they think a certain team will draft.

Is that different now? Just trying to confirm.

I am not sure I'd put my hand in fire for Isiah Thomas being a good talent evaluator...his Knicks stint is still legendary, but in Billy King way

He drafted Damon Stoudamire, T-Mac....etc

Passed on Garnett

Sexton is basically a poor man's Dunn. Why would he be on our radar?

I still maintain that it's BEEN Porter & Hutchison for quite a while.

I want Carter at 7 or Bamba if we trade up to 4. If we trade up and surprise us by drafting Doncic or JJJ, I will be very pleased.

Disagree, 1 week before the draft they had the most accurate mock last year. Better than DX 1 week out, where Givony fixes it up with changes every few hours until right before the draft.

That mock looks dead on to me except for the Bulls. Just swap Bamba from 8 to 7 and that's exactly what I think will happen barring trades.

NBA Draft can be pretty tone deaf in some of their mock drafts. Its more likely that Bamba goes #1 overall than he does dropping to 8th or 9th.

Won't drop to 8, we take him at 7 but that's not a big difference.

#1 - no way over Ayton
#2 - Bagley is sealed to Sacramento...nobody else will work out for them
#3 - Doncic is available, dream scenario for ATL who was worried they'd have to take Trae instead
#4 - Bamba refused medicals & workouts
#5 - possible
#6 - Bamba refused medicals & workouts

Bamba from what we know is most likely going #5 or #7, not any earlier.

Wendell Carter is the only top 15 pick who has worked out for Memphis.

1 trade will blow everything up though.

Maybe they're gonna trade Dunn as part of the deal to move up to #4 while keeping #7. Take Bamba at 4, draft Sexton at 7. (reaching)

That actually makes more sense than you think. But even then, I'd go SGA at 7 before Sexton. Just not digging him all that much.

Oh yeah and nbadraft.net knows this. Yeah thats it....

I know you're trying to make sense of it but I wouldn't waste time on trying to figure out their mocks.
