Just in case the FO wants to do a repeat McDermott deal, he's a FA and can just bring him back that way...no need to trade for a redux.

I have a feeling the Kings don't want any part of this pick at 2.......

Nobody heard a damned thing about Jimmy getting moved last year until the day of the draft, IIRC.
I agree and it makes me happy honestly because he is one of the players I wanted least anyway. In most cases you need to draft the better offensive players and find D through the draft. Picking a mainly defensive player at 7 isn't the best way to draft IMO. Heck look at championship winning teams how many of them don't have top level offensive players? I know you need some defense but most of the titles are won by teams with dominant players on offensive. How many teams have won with dominant defense and eh offense? I can't think of any and if there are some I'm missing I'm pretty sure its not many teams that fit that mold.

NBA Draft 2018 6.0: Lucky #7 and 22.

Post#2033 » by 85Bears » Wed Jun 20, 2018 8:36 pm

1. Ayton
2. Bagley
3. JJJ
4. Bulls - Doncic
5. Bamba
6. Sexton
7. MPJ - Memphis

I’m with Mark Shanowski:
Bamba is smoke and mirrors. Nice kid, great size, may not be able to play. I also don’t believe the Bulls would ever take Bamba over JJJ if both there.

Suz has been Luka JJJ all the way just like me.

I’m thinking Bulls have something larger lined up. Probably Luka and another vet piece. Or getting Luka and another piece in the draft.

My guess is we are trading up for either Bamba or Bagley. Just a guess though.

How high could the Bulls trade up?

They would need to include the #22 as the first piece. Portis would help. They would also probably have to take on a salary.

If they do trade up it better not be for Bamba. Puh-lease.

i'm steeling myself for the possibility of us trading up for bagley, which i think is one of the worst options available to us, by reminding myself it's a real high-upside move

maybe he'll figure out how to play defense and shoot! he's only 19!
