if the knicks wanted to move Noah what do you think it would cost them to move for cap space?

Immediate or in 2019?

Because if it’s 2019, the market has been set. We give 2 2nds and take on an expiring deal.

immediate.

A first at the minimum b/c cap space is at a high premium this offseason

We’re not giving them cap space in that offer. If Kanter opts out, we waive him and absorb Parsons outright - now that’s providing some solid value.

its not even about doncic (that would be awesome if he slips to 3)

But if the top 3 go Ayton/Bagley/Doncic

I still would consider moving to 4 and taking parsons for Bamba/JJJ (depending on the deal).

i forgot about bamba (no thx on jjj). but still, there's like a 1% chance we trade up. why do you do this to urself lol

im already accepting that knox is probably a knick... :nonono:

:(

next year is ours... (hopefully). we just have to accept that we aint gettin the top guns this season. it sucks but what can we do. knicks gonna keep knicking man..

Also, for those wondering, the Knox video took 4 hours to render. No joke. 4 hours. 26GB later, and it's now uploading to YouTube...and should be up by next year.

...probably by 6:30.

I know these are glorified scrimmages, but there's a lot to like here off the bounce and going to the basket. His length is a serious problem when extending to the rim.

I think he's going to have a really hard time improving on his weaknesses, that frame and athleticism isn't going to get any better. Doubt that hitch or the inability to make a runner will get any better either but maybe I'm wrong. Who's he going to defend at 200lb opposing wings are going to kill this guy on defense.

Look who's been a' scoutin' this year.

I'm pretty high on Bamba too. He rebounds. Like KP, he also needs to improve his base.

little bit. i'm a little late but i do the same as everyone here. watch a bunch of videos on youtube and declare myself an expert. i actually knew about mo all year though because he's from ny .

For sure. Seems like you're honing in on the cerebral guys - SGA, Mikal, and Bamba. I like JJJ a lot too, especially next to KP, but that's probably another pipe dream.

This class seems to have a lot of "one glaring flaw" type players mocked in the middle of the lottery.

No. You read that wrong.

To move a Parsons level deal, it cost BKN 2 2nd round picks.

Why would I compare Parsons to Howard who’s an expiring deal?

It's a shame Enes didn't opt in already, otherwise it could have been Enes + 9 for Parsons + 4, or something along those lines.

Would he have the right to veto the deal b/c he’s an expiring deal? I may be mixing up another rule

I’d argue that Mikal is a + athlete right now.

Curious, what makes you certain that Knox isn't going to improve as well?

I get that but does he have a MUCH higher ceiling in your opinion. We are talking about #9 here. I personally think given the chance Dotson is a starting caliber wing inthe NBA.

Exactly, he only turns 22. Before HS players entered the league and before one and done, most of the best players stayed in college until their junior and senior seasons and they managed to improve. Ewing, Duncan, Jordan, Hakeem, Shaq, Grant Hill, Robinson, etc etc. Obviously not comparing Mikal to those guys in the slightest, but to say he's reached his near peak is probably way off.

his offensive game looks pretty darn good.. his age, experience, NBA ready game does remind me of Mitchell.

He needs to bulk up then maybe we gotta ask ourself, why are we limiting his ceiling to a role player? Why cant it be higher?

IF this front office can't move up to take either Mo Bamba or Doncic, the Front Office is impotent.

Nothing wrong with not drafting a raw talent.

Someone like Mikal has tools and can perfect them in the NBA. Nothing wrong with that. He's still 22.

I think Dotson has potential to be what Josh Richardson was this year. Good 3pt shooter, decent defender, okay statline

I think Mikal has potential to be Khris Middleton, but with great defense

So yeah, Mikal I have as borderline All Star, Dotson low level starter. Much higher ceiling on Mikal

Why would you compare a contract that's worth $10mil per year less? The more you explain it the less it makes sense and isn't "level" at all.
