Any word if there would be any vaseline in that deal because... good lord would that be an epic ravaging

So if we take Bamba and are gonna trade KP, I'd rather it be for a younger player to grow with Frank/Bamba, who are both projects

I actually think Bamba isn't really a project in terms of what he can provide now. The project part is the offense, which I think is further along than people realize - he was not a good offensive player his senior year in HS, and now he's picking and popping / hitting spot up threes, albeit at a low %, at Texas. I know that opinion isn't a common one, but it's part of why I have him and Luka as my only tier 1 guys.

You've watched him more than I have, and you have access to Synergy, so I'll take your word for it

I do think he has potential to be the best in this class end of the day, but I'm just saying I don't think we should trade KP for Kawhi if we draft Bamba, it should be someone more aligned with Bamba and Frank's timeline

The Synergy stats really aren't in favor of him in terms of his shooting ability - 24th in catch & shoot and 25th in pick and pop, but that's with one year of actually hitting the gym with shooting. He's been working with arguably (?) the two best player development guys in the NBA in Hanlen and Brickley, so that's getting me excited. I also love the form - smooth, smooth, smooth with high arc.

I believe in Knox's ability long term in catch & shoot even if the results aren't there now because of the form (although he needs to work on not short arming it and actually following through, because his right arm doesn't naturally extend all the time), but Bamba's is more intriguing because of how far he's come in a short amount of time.

I agree by the way on the Kawhi - KP trade. Kawhi's injury scares the hell out of me.

Knicks make a move without giving up Frank for #4 and all of a sudden Doncic is in a video taking cocaine.

I’m cool with that concept of taking on Parsons Salary, but what you give up to match salaries will determine if it’s a good deal or not.
If it’s Hardaway it’s a no brainer. If it’s Kanter it’s real tough

Yep, he and Luka are my only tier one guys. Huge HUGE fan of his game. My GF's sister goes to UT and met him, actually. Apparently he's a really nice guy, too.

Only plus would be his $25 mil comes off the books in the 2020-21 off season where the free agent market is stacked.

Trading Frank would be dumb. He's here already, you've already invested in him. Keep him. He's gonna be good. I think sometimes people just fall in love with the idea of a trade.

KP can do everything Tatum does for them offensively (just by way of Tatum will be the 3rd option behind Kyrie/Hayward, so they're not really losing anything there), and adds elite shot blocking, plus Horford is the perfect big to play next to him

I agree with the fit sentiment, too

And from what I've heard, it is degenerative, so that's one of the reasons I've been anti trading KP for him, cause KP is injury prone too, but players recover from ACLs all the time

tatum will be the 2nd or 1st option on the celtics team very soon. hayward is most likely taking a step back on that team cause of his injury.

im doin the trade cause KP is always injury prone and tatum got legit super star potential

Kyrie ain't giving up 1st option, that's why he left Cleveland

And we'll see with Hayward, I don't think he'd be a fan of taking another backseat after thinking he was gonna be the star in Boston when he signed

I don't see superstar in Tatum, but we'll see with that too

i havent seen someone as polished offensively as tatum at his age in a long ass time. i mean he just led his team to the ECF as a rookie... that's mad special. sky's the limit for him

hayward gotta come to reality and realize that tatum is better than him. and im sure they are going to ease him back into the starting lineup. i dont see him as the #2 option at all. it's gonna be kyrie or tatum IMO.

if boston calls up and asks for a swap of kp for tatum ima do it 10/10 times

just a few days ago you said.....

For those who want Bonga, I spent about two hours watching film yesterday. He’s VERY raw. Like, major project (more than Giannis) raw.
There's something about an underdog that really inspires the unexceptional.
