I’ll take two KPs

If we trade to 4 which order do you pick those two?

Whoever is left because there's no way both of them are still on the board. Honestly, that's a tough call. Doncic / Frank fit is a match made in heaven...but Bamba's potential, and his impact on what he can do now, is so alluring. Really really tough call. I'd probably lean to Doncic because of fit, but I don't think you can really go wrong with either one.

Ugh Bomba scares the heck out of me. I dont want a project whose floor is a really weak shooter and awkward offensive player.

Doncic or Porter.

Nah, very different players. I like Walker quite a bit, actually - but I see more of a better Shump (better shooting, WAY higher IQ on both sides of the ball) than Mitchell. I do like him, though. Also really like how he watches National Geographic a lot. It has nothing to do with his basketball IQ, but I like guys who are always striving to better themselves and learn.

Bamba been my #1 guy for 6 months now.
Measurements like his are rare. Throw in his intelligence and you have a really special player.
I am all for sending 9, Lee, Thomas and 36 for 4 and Parsons.
I would throw in Dotson or Tre as well.
Would NOT give up Frank. He is about to have a breakout season. Love everything about his game.
Frank/KP/Bamba is a VERY special core.

So if we take Bamba and are gonna trade KP, I'd rather it be for a younger player to grow with Frank/Bamba, who are both projects

I actually think Bamba isn't really a project in terms of what he can provide now. The project part is the offense, which I think is further along than people realize - he was not a good offensive player his senior year in HS, and now he's picking and popping / hitting spot up threes, albeit at a low %, at Texas. I know that opinion isn't a common one, but it's part of why I have him and Luka as my only tier 1 guys.

just a few days ago you said.....

For those who want Bonga, I spent about two hours watching film yesterday. He’s VERY raw. Like, major project (more than Giannis) raw.

#4 is a good place to be. You get a very nice player be it Doncic, Bagley or Bumba.

NOW! NOW! NOW! is the time for the Knicks to make the move. You don't create cap space for a MAX Cat if you're the Knicks. You DO IT to find a desperate team willing to give up their position so the Knicks can grab another key cog. Donic or Bamba. Whoever is left. DO IT. NOW is the time to build that nucleus. Not next draft. NOW.

Reread it again, friend. Wingo made the same mistake.

Im sorry man lol.. i was worried phew....

ok so lets talk more about BAMBA then...

All good. When Wingo quoted me the first time, I had to make sure I typed it correctly. It happens.

Quick summary of Bamba
- Elite rim protector
- Elite finisher in paint
- Great rebounder
- Potential as a shooter (came a long way since his senior year of HS where he was 10-15 and in, beautiful form, showed ability this year at UT)
- Smart defensive player who uses his length well...on the flip side, I think he might overrely on his length vs actually understanding the defensive concepts. Capella came in and was able to learn, and Rudy got worlds better as well, but it's something to take note of.
- Skinny legs...which worries me a bit.
- Switch potential (and can definitely be used as an ICE defender while affecting even mid-range jumpers even as he falls back), plays passing lanes and affects shots just by using his length / being active with hands.
- SMART player on court, off court, and unbelievably well spoken.
- You can tell he's still learning and growing into his body, but he's not awkward in his movements for someone his size nor does he have a low BBIQ.

I did not like him very much before the season, but this year at UT turned me into a big fan.

Please just take Mikal. Establish a culture of ball movers, winners, defenders. McCollum played in college multiple years, and still ended up wining the most improved player after his 3rd year in the league. The guy already has an NBA skillset, and could easily improve it. Consistent 3 point shot is such a commodity, he'll be valuable to the team from day one. Having 3 solid players in our starting lineup who play the right way will make the team much more attractive to big name FA's.

Knox has some intrigue, but I just don't see him blossoming into a superstar, or even a consistent 3 point shooter/or 20ppg scorer. The guy just doesn't have that IT factor to me. There are possibilities with him, and one of them is being a gigantic bust. Who knows if he'll ever even be as good as Mikal as right now.

We simply can't afford to mess this pick up. Mikal is as safe as it gets. Plus, it prevents b*tchass Philly from getting him right after us. Do the right thing Perry & Mills

F*ck it if Bonga is a project. Knicks need to draft both Bamba and Bonga just for what it will do to Clyde during telecasts.
