Yes, Trae is that much of an upgrade over Dennis. Or he better be if we like him that much. He's the best shooter and 2nd best passer in this draft...very close to Doncic...I've seen him make some great passes..

sign me up - just would need defense at the 4; I forget about Shaq. I mention McCaw but we have Shaq -- he would be a nice defender with Knight, Booker and Young.

who knows this might just work out ok!

Oh, our defense will suck but we are not used to having a good defense. I wonder if it would get worse though because I think we had a historically bad defense last year.

Would OQuinn be a good defensive 4 - Suns need to take back salary.

Teams need a pg are in bold. With the Suns and Hawks, it's too early to draft Trae. It would be really cool if Doncic was there when Orlando is up. That only leaves the Cavs and they need everything.

Doncic makes flashy passes but the way people talk about his passing you would think he averages 10 a game but he doesn't.

IMO his assists are very very low for some1 being talked up as a GREAT AND AMAZING PASSER....just sayinn....

RunSunRun wrote:So, I know I'm a little late but just wanted to address Ayton's comments on wanting a second contract as his motivation.

Little background, my mom and her family are from a village called Los Banos (no joke, I know what it translates as) in the Philippines. She came from such extreme poverty that money has been her major motivator. It drove her to survive, attend school, work up from nothing, earn degrees, and move to America chasing her dreams. She's more than succeeded, but still is driven to achieve more, to earn more.

Money can be a very powerful motivator, especially so if you've experienced extreme poverty and want to make sure no one in your family ever experiences it again. From all accounts it sounds like Ayton has experienced that poverty, we who have not experienced that type of struggle may not fully understand why it's a powerful motivator and will continue to be no matter how much money he makes.

Anyways, just my two cents.

Great to hear and good points. I did find his question to CJ McCollum asking how he stayed motivated when he had all the money and everything to be an interesting one, especially on top of the other one. Almost feels like he is worried about staying motivated.

No, he's a 5. Decent backup 5 but not sure we need one.

No, I can't imagine they are out before they know who is playing where though.

If Robert Williams is there when we pick, do we take him?

If he's there and we ake Doncic #1, it's a no brainer but if we take Ayton, then it's probably not a good idea. I do like him as a prospect though

If we draft Doncic 1st overall yes, if we draft Ayton as expected no. He isn’t a 4 and we are looking for someone to spread the floor from that spot.

Great odds for LiAngelo. I'm sure one dumb team will take him with a super late pick lol

It's too good to be true for him to fall to us though and we should draft BPA not really for need..

I hope Luka ends up with Orlando...somehow they trade up to 3. They'd probably have to give up something pretty good to move up though...like a future first. I don't imagine they'd deal Isaac.
