Wanamaker is probably a real option if the Celtics move Rozier or Smart.

wanamaker may be a rozier replacement in another year. give him a 2yr deal like theis and let him learn the ropes as a 3rd string PG. i agree larkin is probably gone, he will get a better offer to be a backup pg not 3rd/4th string.

if he can shoot open 3's and defend a bit he'll be valuable. he looks stocky if not quick.

We can top anything Mavs can offer. They're not paying Smart starters' money just to bring him off the bench (DSJ and Luka starting). Plus they have a ton of guards already.

I don't see it for the Bulls either (Dunn, LaVine). Suns and Pacers to me are somewhat of a threat. Teams that just want to build a winning culture without necessarily contending right away and have the cap space to go after 2nd or 3rd tier FAs.

Those are quite a few of of the teams that are under the cap. He's not going to start for any of those teams, and I don't think any of them will offer him Starter money. And none of them are going to use all of their cap space on Marcus Smart.

Part of the game is making other teams think the C's will match--so as to scare them away from making an offer that clogs up their FA period without getting them the player in the end.

Oddest thing to me was “I’m 24 years old. I was the first one in my family to graduate from a college". If he found the time to do that, I'm pretty impressed. But it's also the first I've heard of it.

He only went to Oklahoma St. for two years, there's no way he graduated.

He should go for the money, but I hope we offer him the most. I love Marcus.

Quite a few players go back to college in the summer. Why would you think he is lying about this, lol.

I've never heard of anybody (especially a D1 athlete) graduating in two years. Quite a few guys go to school full-time in the summer, and those guys often graduate in three years, not two.

Not a big deal either way. He probably meant that he was the first person in his family to attend college.

Seriously. Being an NBA player affords you a lot of time in the offseason. You get to make your own schedule and with their high income, they can hire people to take care of stuff for you. I don't see why this is that hard to believe.
