Dont overlook the fact that Knox is 6'9 and when growing into his body can play the 4 low key.

lol. The best 2 teams in the East are in the Atlantic. Dumb premise.

I'm also a big Tobias fan and was talking about him being a free agent target for us next off season before he was even traded from Detroit. He's a legit starting 3 or 4 for a team.

He's a right below an all-star player to me. Like a top 40 player in the NBA. If you get that at 9, I'm running to the bank.

Melo was a star.
whats that even supposed to mean?
It means that you need team players who play defense. That's what it means.

Hopefully these highlights aren't indicative of his skillset, because the only thing I got from that video is that he's a good athlete. Aside from that, he doesn't come close to what Luka could do at that age.
Nas is definitely a high level prospect (Melo, I’m working on his scouting video, actually), but Luka is in a tier unto himself. Best SG prospect I’ve ever seen.
Ok simmer down there

Yeah I got that he's got the tools to be a good defensive player (but locking down a few high-schoolers doesn't guarantee anything). But in this particular video, there wasn't much to suggest that he's a 'damn good scorer'. At least for me.
dude got dumb nice handles and can create any shot. he's gonna be nice. i'll also leave this here..
Don't get me wrong, this was the first time for me even hearing about that guy. I don't have anything against him. It's very possible he's a much better prospect than that video shows. All I'm saying those scrimmage highlights isn't enough data to convince me he's a great scorer.
just look him up on youtube. he's been getting a lot of hype recently. he actually outdueled cam reddish and zion williamson in the mcdonalds n jordan games too. it was pretty awesome. i hope the knicks are bad enough to get him

They was saying Tatum cant play D coming out too. Tatum cant dribble. Tatum cant attack. Tatum can’t shoot the 3. Stop sleeping on Knox.

People need to stop worrying about moving up in this year's draft. Stand pat, let the upcoming season take its natural course, and this time next year the Knicks won't have to worry about moving up -- I have every bit of confidence they will be bottom of the barrel record-wise and sitting on a top-5 pick, without having had to give anything up or take on bad contracts.

Exactly Brooklyn, which is why Mikal is one of the guys im not thrilled with. I get he should be solid, but his upside is limited. The NBA is a stars league and even at 9 i think we need to try to hit a HR. I mean i dont pass on bridges for a guy with upside that has so little chance of reaching his upside, but at 9 I think we have a chance to take a guy with a lot more realistically acheivable upside then Bridges.
Bridges wouldnt be a remote throw for me, but our roster stinks right now, so id rather go for a HR if the players are reasonably close. Dont over draft a guy cause he has upside, but guys like Knox, Young, Sexton, Walker etc just have more star potential. And yes i know this increases your chance you get nothing from this pick, but we have to take that risk!

I like what I saw of Knox's workout but he had the same percentage of blocks last season as Trae Young. That means he has a low motor and/or didn't try on defense. Maybe Fiz can turn him a round if we take him but I take Mikal over him every day of the week.
Mikal has 2 NBA skills right now. Shooting and defense. Knox has none that are proven.

How does a team of professionals try to lose?
You want to be mad at someone, be mad at KP for being too dominant at the beginning of the season.
Again, we only won 7 games after he went down.
I never said anything about the players trying to lose and already know that doesn't happen. What i did say was that Perry/Mills could of gone to JH and asked him to play all the young kids down the stretch which not only would help in losing but would of also gave good minutes to the young kids who need minutes to grow their games. I'm not even saying we still wouldn't of won some games with the young kids but it wouldn't of hurt to actually give the young kids plenty of playing time.
They did
Last month of the season:
Frank - 34 MPG
Kornet - 21 MPG
Hicks - 18 MPG
Williams - 18 MPG (before injury)
Dotson - 26 MPG
Burke - 34 MPG
The Knicks went 5-10 in that stretch.
They were better off not playing the youth.
