SGA at 6 is too much of a reach for me

Too much crying and complaining here.
Here it is about being negative just to be negative.
There is a lot of good discussion here but it is sad it mostly dissolves into whinning. I would have no problem at all with a WCJ pick frankly I can talk myself into any pick I trust they know more than I do but still I cant wait for the "I hate this team" and goodbye posts when people throw a hissy fit because management didn't select their guy.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

You can expect more from a high draft pick but the original, overarching statement of not wanting anything to do with another Jameer Nelson is a ludicrous statement given what he did here.
Nelson wasn’t a max contract guy. Nelson wasn’t a #1 option guy. For what we invested in him (draft spot / $) he was one of the best value players this franchise has seen.
What you’re addressing is that at #6 we expect more value. That is perfectly fair. But that doesn’t mean more guys like Jameer Nelson to round out a roster would be a bad thing.
Look bro its obvious i touched a nerve with you. Jameer was a great teammate and a loyal soldier and will forever be part of our team because he earned it but my overreaching point is I want somone better than him at 6 which is not an unreasonable request. I can have respect for him and also point out that we were at our best as a team when he was injured. His defense was very questionable and i dont know how anyone can disagree with that. I am really pissed you decided to say that just because i dont bow at the alter of jameer nelson i dont deserve to have a star player stay. That is just assine. I can respect his loyalty and also say he had some real concerns in his height and defensive ability but i guess if you want to be a true magic fan you cant critize any player you have to kiss their feet.
Keep digging that hole.
Young stars leave small market cities like Orlando because of fans like you. You deserve what you get.

Not liking every prospect does not equal negativity. It just means we have opinions. It seems like you, Cedric and a few others can talk yourselves into liking every prospect.
actually this has been the most positive and united we have been long time IMO. MOST of us actually agree we want Doncic (just differ on what were willing to offer)
Very true but I still thing he is a pipe dream I think he goes number 2 and we really don't have a legit shot at him. After that though is really bat **** crazy. There are real concerns with all of the next 5-6 picks and everyone's has good points I just cant stand the people trying to pretend that their guy doesn't have any concerns when Bamba Young WCJ MPJ all have negatives

LMAO! I really doubt Dwight Howard left because i pointed out Jameer Nelsons defensive liability on a fan board! I mean so i cant even say Jameer Nelson is a defensive liability and i don't want defensive liabilities that is out of bounds to you?

Re: Draft Thread 7.0: The Final Countdown
The only teams I've heard the prospects avoiding is the Grizzles and maybe the Kings. I haven't heard any of the prospects wanting to avoid Orlando. With that said the only player that I have heard him expressing interest in the Magic is Trae. We need to take Trae if he's the only player that has expressed wanting to be on Orlando.

I like your post.you have a good head in your shoulders.
But the things here most people write about the front office being stupid because they are upset and afraid that may be their favorite player will not be the pick are absolutely insane.
Also the bashing and hate against players who are not their favorite is completely exagerrated.
Grown people don t react like that.
The board should not forget that a basketball front office does a lot of research about the prospects and gathers a lot of Information.
A FO has a completely different insight than we armchair gms here.

That's what I wanted to believe too. But hearing it from guys who where there on Media Day... I now believe otherwise.

Well.... It was said that they did not expect him to be there to be selected. Yes... In that case it was supposed to have been a no brainer. Lol.... What were you expecting ..., "with the 6th pick.... The magic selects.... Robert Williams from Texas A&M" to make the quote applicable.... Or would people be "mad again that some random player out of no where was selected". Lol
