Anybody chitting on Kyrie lost all my respect. Cavs wished they had him in the finals, and the Celtics wished they had him in the east finals. But knicks dont need him? lol

I don't think there is more than one other team who would take that contract and then do they have a top ten pick to swap? The Knicks might be poised to get the pick swap deal because they are 'stupid' enough to take on that money and it's the best offer Griz will get for it.

https://sportsday.dallasnews.com/dallas-mavericks/mavericks/2018/06/20/report-mavs-one-seven-teams-talking-grizzlies-trade-no-4-pick-chandler-parsons

Mavs one of seven teams talking to Grizzlies about trade for No. 4 pick, Chandler Parsons

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/23858201/memphis-grizzlies-discuss-trading-no-4-pick-nba-draft

Dallas Mavericks, Orlando Magic, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, Boston Celtics and LA Clippers have shown varying degrees of interest in a deal

Memphis might be able to trade back to No. 6 (owned by Orlando) or No. 7 (owned by Chicago) on draft night.

So how many of them are taking Parsons contract? The question is left answered.

I'm sure there are teams willing to make a trade for the 4 pick without taking the contract and they will talk all day long about it. There will be suitors "talking" and they will undoubtedly try to talk Memphis into trading the pick without the contract.

You logical slight of hand doesn't answer the question, how many of them are taking Parsons' contract while giving a top ten pick this draft?

Actually, my "logical slight of hand" did answer the question, you just didn't read it

There is nothing more entertaining than having a media outlet post their mock draft on twitter, and a few seconds after their competition does the same.

Half the board hated the KP pick. Probably 2/3 hated the Frank pick. We'll just have to wait and see with whomever we take.

His knees worry me greatly. That's a legit concern.

Obviously I would love to have him on the Knicks otherwise.

Nobody should trash Knox, the kid has talent. But it’s fine to be disappointed if he becomes the pick. Most people here wanted Mikal.

Kyrie isn't injury prone. He had 1 injury in the last 3 years

He averages around 60 games a year. If you are injured 1/3rd of your time in the league, I would say you are injury prone.

Like I said, he's had 1 injury in 3 years. 2016 he was recovering from it and missed games earlier in the year because of it. When he returned they made the Finals and he dominated and they won it all. 2017 he was fully healthy and played 72 games and into the Finals. 2018 he had an infection in the wires and screws that were put in his knee back in 2015 but those wires were supposed to eventually be taken out at some point anyway. All he did was have a procedure done which was going to get done at some point anyway. Dude is going to be 100% healthy because the knee fracture is healed, his wires were taken out, the infection was cleaned up and he's gonna be good to go. He had no ligament or cartilage issues in his knee, it was just a bone fracture that has already been healed.

Just like his boxing analysis his basketball analysis is on point

Wendell is going to be a star, and he's going to prove you wrong for saying he is the 4th best big in this draft.

so you're saying you would take carter over ayton/bagley/doncic/bamba ?

honestyly no because Ayton has the highest potential if he ever plays defense. But Carter has a higher chance of reaching his own ceiling which is a combo of Brand/Horford IMO. I think both guys will be all stars though.

There isnt a player the knicks could draft that would make everyone happy. Regardless of who we pick tonight, there will be a percentage of people here who like it, and an even bigger percentage who will whine and say its the end of the world

I don't disagree with the Mikal part, but you know as well as I do the type of reaction the Knox pick will get in a vacuum. I just have a problem with already portraying the pick to be a bad one before he's even stepped on the court. As you said Knox has talent and I don't see a huge difference between Mikal and Knox to warrant potential outrage.

one of seven teams that have shown "varying degrees of interest" in a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies that would net the No. 4 pick and Chandler Parsons.

So you really believe as many as 7 teams are willing to take on the contract? Really? All seven of those have top 10 picks as well? That was the other part of my sentence which you conveniently failed to bold and enlarge so as to avoid addressing it.

I doubt that all 7 are willing to take the contract, some are just there to monitor the situation to see if they can get it without... hence "varying degrees of interest"... very little to none is a degree, right? Of those few who may, how many have a top 10 pick this draft to offer in exchange?

So you think all 7 will take the contract and will offer a top ten pick?
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

While I like Knox as a decent prospect there is no reason to take him in the top 10 IMO.

I've never participated in the build-up to the draft before and while I have built up my own preferences I will support whomever they draft. That means ANYONE.

I'm also tired of the pathetic little man syndrome that runs rampant on this board where people feel the need to crap on someone they wouldn't have drafted because that's the only way they can make themselves feel special.
