So how many of them are taking Parsons contract? The question is left answered.
I'm sure there are teams willing to make a trade for the 4 pick without taking the contract and they will talk all day long about it. There will be suitors "talking" and they will undoubtedly try to talk Memphis into trading the pick without the contract.
You logical slight of hand doesn't answer the question, how many of them are taking Parsons' contract while giving a top ten pick this draft?
Actually, my "logical slight of hand" did answer the question, you just didn't read it
https://sportsday.dallasnews.com/dallas-mavericks/mavericks/2018/06/20/report-mavs-one-seven-teams-talking-grizzlies-trade-no-4-pick-chandler-parsonsone of seven teams that have shown "varying degrees of interest" in a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies that would net the No. 4 pick
and Chandler Parsons.
So you really believe as many as 7 teams are willing to take on the contract? Really? All seven of those have top 10 picks as well? That was the other part of my sentence which you conveniently failed to bold and enlarge so as to avoid addressing it.
I doubt that all 7 are willing to take the contract, some are just there to monitor the situation to see if they can get it without... hence "varying degrees of interest"... very little to none is a degree, right? Of those few who may, how many have a top 10 pick this draft to offer in exchange?
So you think all 7 will take the contract and will offer a top ten pick?
I mean, you could actually read the reports and do some critical thinking yourself instead of just reading headlines and not connecting dots
The Grizzlies have been pretty public that getting 4 means taking on Parsons. So every team that calls them knows that, so if they have offers on the table for 4, that means they're willing to take Parsons
And if you had actually read the report, you would've seen 4 teams that have top 10 picks in that list, us, Chicago, Dallas, and Orlando
I know you're gonna try and get me on the technicality that I can't say they've offered a top 10 pick and taking back Parsons because it doesn't literally say "team x has offered this trade to Memphis," so congrats, you can have your "gotcha" moment
But in reality, there are teams willing to deal with them that have better assets than us, so IIRC your original point was that we didn't need to include the 9th pick in any discussion, which is just wrong. Enjoy the rest of your day
