that's great, when he gets drafted by New York he can take a flight back to philly, its only a one hour flight. we aren't going to let a kid slip because he wants to play for his hometown. **** that.

6'11 C with a 7'9 wingspan who was also one of the fastest guys end to end at the combine. Also a shot blocking machine and improving jumper. You really dont see the appeal of that?

https://sportsday.dallasnews.com/dallas-mavericks/mavericks/2018/06/20/report-mavs-one-seven-teams-talking-grizzlies-trade-no-4-pick-chandler-parsons

one of seven teams that have shown "varying degrees of interest" in a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies that would net the No. 4 pick and Chandler Parsons.

So you really believe as many as 7 teams are willing to take on the contract? Really? All seven of those have top 10 picks as well? That was the other part of my sentence which you conveniently failed to bold and enlarge so as to avoid addressing it.

I doubt that all 7 are willing to take the contract, some are just there to monitor the situation to see if they can get it without... hence "varying degrees of interest"... very little to none is a degree, right? Of those few who may, how many have a top 10 pick this draft to offer in exchange?

So you think all 7 will take the contract and will offer a top ten pick?

I mean, you could actually read the reports and do some critical thinking yourself instead of just reading headlines and not connecting dots

The Grizzlies have been pretty public that getting 4 means taking on Parsons. So every team that calls them knows that, so if they have offers on the table for 4, that means they're willing to take Parsons

And if you had actually read the report, you would've seen 4 teams that have top 10 picks in that list, us, Chicago, Dallas, and Orlando

I know you're gonna try and get me on the technicality that I can't say they've offered a top 10 pick and taking back Parsons because it doesn't literally say "team x has offered this trade to Memphis," so congrats, you can have your "gotcha" moment

But in reality, there are teams willing to deal with them that have better assets than us, so IIRC your original point was that we didn't need to include the 9th pick in any discussion, which is just wrong. Enjoy the rest of your day

Knowing that's what Memphis wants before calling doesn't mean they are willing to accept the contract, they could be logging interest in the pick but never really considering taking the contract.

You don't recall correctly, that wasn't my point. My point was how many teams will take the contract and have a top ten pick to offer..... it was right there in the post you quoted, in the sentence you chose to bold and enlarge half of....and I repeated to you again in subsequent reply..... so how is it you think that was my point? Nevermind.

Yes, I will enjoy the rest of my day, you enjoy yours, too.

If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

Right? I was pretty shocked about the pick. They also had Mikal falling to 14 too.

Damn, maybe Knox is the guy. Unless this is the greatest smokescreen ever.

https://www.theringer.com/nba/2018/6/21/17488940/draft-day-rumors-notes-trades-luka-doncic-mo-bamba

Expect the Knicks to select Knox with the no. 9 pick, should he be available. I’ve heard their interest in Villanova wing Mikal Bridges isn’t nearly as high as has been previously reported. It’s more probable that the Sixers select Bridges at no. 10, though they also have interest in Knox and Michigan State forward Miles Bridges.

No that would be Porter. At best Bamba is Dikembe Mutombo 2.0 with more versatility and at worst he is Clint Capela. The kid is not a stiff like Thabeet was and has good mechanics. He just needs time to fill in his body and learn schemes.

I hope we aren't under pressure all year to make a deal for Kyrie and Kyrie understands it's better to wait until FA then have Boston force us to give up assets ala Melo deal.

Why didn't the Celtics have him in the semi-finals? He was injured again.

Kyrie isn't a two-way player. He needs the ball in his hands all the time to be effective. He gets injured a lot and already has 6 years of wear and tear on his body. Guys who require athleticism to be effective fall off hard.

Signing a flashy player who is entering the last phase of his career is a standard Knick move. We'll max him out into his 30s and then spend the next 5 years watching him in street clothes half the time. No thank you. Stick with the plan; get young players who play both sides of the ball and stop trying to hit home runs.
