I like Delly as a 3rd PG that could bring some energy off the bench. Just doens't have a good enough shot and not quite athletic enough, but man he at least plays with heart. If the rest of our team had the heart of Delly we could have made the ECF this year.

Delly's productivity doesn't merit the salary he's getting, but he's well down the pecking order of problems to fix.

You don't really have anything to offer us outside Adebayo, who you probably wouldn't involve in the deal. There are no significant 19-20 expirings, and if we were unloading say Delly it would be for trading down in the 1st or part of a package for a significant asset. You wouldn't just get the #17 pick for it.
I was in the wrong thread

Delly DJ/Thon 17 for Rolo 22 presents an interesting trade down scenario if Chicago has their eyes on a specific player.

Something around Delly for Dedmon would drop salary and pick up a win now player.
I don’t think the Hawks do that just to move up a few places in the draft though. We’d have to include something else.
Taking on Schroder doesn’t help our cap situation so not sure I see it.

I'd take Jevon Carter for that 3rd PG spot in a heartbeat to fill that role.

I think it's also possible that Delly is at least slightly more productive in Bud's system, though. Snell maybe could, but that all depends on if he actually takes a bunch of threes.

I could see that potentially or...
Bucks: Bazemore, Dedmon and #19
Hawks: Pick 2 (Delly/Henson/Snell), Wilson and #17
We sold them on Plumlord, why not a few more.

Re: 2018 NBA Draft pt 2 - NOW WITH A POLL
Alright, I'm going to do a quick version of what has become an annual "The Bucks Should/Should Highly Consider Drafting/Signing This Virginia Player" post.
Devon Hall
Do you like Malcolm Brogdon? Do you want another player like him on the cheap? Then Devon Hall is your man.
Devon Hall is a really good player. His natural position is SG, but like Brogdon, he can give you some minutes at PG or SF. Similar sizes from a pure height and weight standpoint. Brogdon's wingspan is greater, while Hall's standing reach is greater. Hall is quite strong, though he's not nearly as chiseled as Brogdon - his body fat is probably a little high, but I wouldn't worry about it. It's not from a lack of effort or conditioning and he would assuredly trim some of that in the NBA.
The eyeball test always told me that Hall was a slightly better athlete, but the combine results say otherwise. Either way, Hall, like Brogdon is a good, but not spectacular athlete. His strength is what will play in the NBA, not his quicks.
He is an excellent defender with the strength to muscle up on guys and the instincts and BBIQ to know what the hell he's doing. Like Brogs, guarding PG's isn't his strongsuit, but he can if need be. Excellent at reading passes and angles. 1st Team ACC All-Defense.
Offensively, his shooting stroke is so pure, especially from the corner (again, eye test, as I watched all of his college games - he shot 43% from three his senior year, improving each year). I would say this is where he has the advantage on Brogdon. His shot is likely going to be more consistent (though Brogdon's shooting has translated better than I thought it would). He shot 89% from the charity stripe last season. Is that good?
He's not lightning quick and isn't going to slash to the basket with regularity. In fact, he's really not that great at getting to the rim. Where he was very good in the two-point game was getting into the lane and pulling up or making a move to make space. Whereas Brogdon is more of a straight-ahead driver, Hall is quite effective at crossing through the lane "horizontally" and getting the ball up over defenders.
He can handle the ball adequately, though he does sometimes have a loose handle. Nothing concerning enough to worry about his ability to run an offense if needed. He has an elite BBIQ as one would expect from a Virginia guard and is a highly skilled passer. Like Brogdon, a leader who will also take a back seat if that's his role and just do what the team needs him to do.
On the Bucks, Hall would be a valuable 3-and-D guy coming off the bench. I would expect him to be one of the last guys off the bench in his first year, but could see him developing into a really nice second stringer with the ability to spot start when needed. His job would be to play defense and spot-up in the corner.
Target: late 2nd round or free agent. If he doesn't get drafted, I would get on the phone with his agent the second the draft ends.
A couple years ago, I told everybody here that Brogdon was basically a must-draft. I was clearly correct. Tons of people wanted Denzel Valentine and I said if you want a guy like him, but better, don't waste a lottery pick on him and get Brogdon in the second round. Last year, I suggested taking a look at London Perrantes as a summer league invite, as he was a smart, pass-first PG who can drain the three (his weakness was height). While he didn't make an impact, he did get a cup of coffee with the Eastern Conference champs.
Trust me. And-1.

Hasn't it been established that you can't package a RFA in a sign-and-trade? Jabari has to be moved on his own, right?

And yes, I'd eat two years of Parsons for the #4 pick.

Nah, you can trade him with other stuff. I don't think that rule is in the current CBA.

STOP AND READ.
Jabari Parker CAN NOT be traded until free agency.
Jabari Parker CAN be traded in free agency with other pieces and does not need to be straight up (without getting into specifics)
Thanks
