As torn as I was on both and even with slight lean on Luka, you can't pass up on a guy like Ayton with that size, offensive skils and athletcism to pair him with Booker. Core has a chance to be real special with JJ and still assets to improve.

Still hoping we trade up and if we had to with Grizz take Parsons deal if Luka was there at 4. And maybe even if he's not but I know it limits any FA plans.

I was kind of intrigued with him and Bogdan together but it kind of would have stung as a suns fan if they would have killed it.

I actually think Atlanta is a great landing spot for Luka. They are early in the rebuild and can mold a team around him plus it's not a crazy media market so some of that pressure is off his shoulders.

Hate to hijack this thread, but can anybody help me understand why Deandre Ayton is consensus #1 considering the way todays NBA game is played today and his athleticism compared to Bagley? Comparing the two, Bagley seems the more mobile, athletic, and not the traditional center Ayton seems to be. In addition, not sure how Ayton gets all the credit for dominating the PAC 12 where there arent any legit PF or Cs whereas Bagley dominated grown men in the ACC? Only a few hours before draft and dreading that the Suns will most likely select Ayton, but trying to find any positives in it.

I am relieved if Doncic goes East

I am not unhappy about Ayton - he looks like a number 1 pick! I hope he channels his inner Big Ticket and really gets after it on defense. I know the offense will be there

Ayton is elite athlete just like Bagley.

Ayton's length gives him a much better chance of being a rim protector under coaching development than Bagley who has 5 inches less reach.

Ayton's also a potentially better shooter outside the paint as he can shoot free throws better.

Ayton has a higher ceiling and floor...

If I was McD...

I would bank on this draft for the future.

Move up to Pick 4 to draft one of Doncic or JJJ... Who ever is available...

With Ayton... You need a PF who would be happy recording 30 minutes, 8 points 7 rebounds 4 blocks and 2x 3pters made.... And that's what I see in JJJ most nights.... Someone who doesn't take away shots from the main 3... But happy to scrap up the open looks and hustle defensively....

Sounds like you want Dragan Bender. I mean I'd be surprised if Bender can't average 8 this season.

Anyone else kinda giggling that we were being trolled by Kings posters about taking JJJ or Bagley #1, and how they were totally 1000% taking Doncic, because of the Serbian connection and the owners patented hand sign and the photo's (ALL THOSE PHOTOS!), and yet here we are with all reports from all major reporters like Woj saying that the Kangz are taking Bagley.
