Sean Marks thought Pelinka was Rob Lowe and while he was star struck and swooning, Pelinka pulled a fast one.

Marks made the best of a dumpster fire situation left behind by Billy King.

The DLo trade was medium risk (they couldnt sign any FAs worth a damn anyway) high reward move that sadly hasnt panned out yet. Nets will hold onto DLo for one more year and see what happens, having his RFA rights is good as it means they have right to match any offer sheet which will likely scare off suitors unless DLo goes supernova, in which case BRK would love to keep him. Its either DLo blows up or BRK can retain DLo another year for cheap on the QO to see how he develops. Highly doubt a team with cap would offer DLo a 10-15mil deal if he has another similar season.

DLo needs health and to be able to play with another versatile guard (Lin) who's not too one dimensional (Dimwiddie) to really explore whether he's really a SG or PG. Last year was a complete bust as DLo kept getting hurt and his backcourt mates were so limited that he got focused by the defense as a result. Dont recall BRK playing Dim + DLo much so its still up in the air whats DLo's ideal position.

Simply put. No point trading DLo as his perceived value around the league isnt too great. Now RHJ otoh, it seems was good enough to potentially snag the #11 pick off CHA if he was in the package for DHo. Im REAL curious to see how teams around the league value him.

Well at least the Mozgov mistake got cleared off for a coupla 2nds.

In the end

BroLo + 2017 #28 (Kuzma) + #45 + future SRP + cash for DLo + DHo (bought out)

If Kuzma wasnt such a huge hit for the Lakers then the trade wouldnt have looked too bad value wise.
