what you think about those Vanderbilt shooting splits I posted above, PIF? I know it is still a small sample size, but you can much more easily forgive some poor freshman shooting splits than a lack of rebounding, no? Especially when that shooting does improve over increased playing time/2nd half of season.

I'd be curious to see if any other NCAA player averaged 18.5 rebounds per 40 over a 14 game stretch in the NCAA this past season?

worth a 2nd round pick?

Those splits were extremely interesting; in fact, he's an interesting player -- no doubt about it. I didn't mean to suggest otherwise -- just not to draw conclusions based on 234 minutes of PT!

He's getting a lot of action right now -- check out https://www.aseaofblue.com/2018/6/16/17462524/espn-analytics-really-like-jarred-vanderbilt-in-2018-nba-draft where they say ESPN analytics projects him very positively.

Worth reading https://bustingbrackets.com/2018/06/16/kentucky-basketball-jarred-vanderbilt-major-2018-nba-draft-sleeper/ as well. Note the risk portions of the article too, please!! :) Health is one, & non-shooting is another. They compare him to Kevon Looney as same type of player (but not putting him on Looney's level, btw).

Right now, my real problem is that I want every single player in this draft!! I don't know what it is this year, but I'm completely around the bend.

CONCLUSION: JARED VANDERBILT IS CANNOT MISS... because of the rebounding.

CCJ TWIST: I don't know much about JV but I LIKE HIM BETTER THAN ROBERT WILLIAMS OR the other kid 28 year old freshman...name escapes....

TREVON DUVAL is VERY SEVERELY UNDERRATED.... Grayson Allen is a bust waiting to happen if he goes round one. Duval is a MUCH BETTER PROSPECT and the best value. Wizards would do well to draft him in round two.

Bagley at number 2 ... I THINK IS GOING TO BE LIKE CARLOS BOOZER MEETS LAMARCUS ALDRIDGE....good scorer; NOT a generational talent.

Bagley will go 2 or 3 but should go AFTER Jackson Jr, Bamba, MAYBE MK BRIDGES, ....and DEFINITELY AFTER DONCIC.......Ayton will be good but NOT AS GOOD AS THE FIRST TWO BIG MEN in time...Bamba/JJJ

Yeah, I've been wondering - Why do most people rate Allen ahead of Duval? Duval is the better NBA prospect.

FINAL POST PRE DRAFT: here's the last YAHOO MOCK https://sports.yahoo.com/2018-nba-mock-draft-4-0-marvin-bagley-rising-point-guards-climbing-jaren-jackson-jr-sliding-131717783.html

(I will put consensus pick to right iff different) http://www.nba.com/news/2018-consensus-mock-draft

1. Ayton, PHO
2.Bagley, SAC
3. Doncic, ATL
****4. PORTER, MEM ### (NO WAY IMO--JAREN JACKSON, JR IS CONSENSUS PICK AT #4)
5. Bamba, DAL
6. Jackson Jr., ORL ### (YOUNG)
7. Carter, CHI (PORTER JR)
8. Young, CLE (CARTER)
9. Knox, NYK (SEXTON)
10. Mikal Bridges, PHI
11. SGA, CHA (KNOX/SEXTON)
12. Sexton, LAC (WALKER IV)
13. Walker IV, LAC (WILLIAMS)
14. Miles Bridges, DEN

***15. ROBERT WILLIAMS,WAS

I BELIEVE WILLIAMS WILL BE THE PICK. SOLID, UNSPECTACULAR; WON'T HELP THE WIZARDS.

I WON'T BE SURPRISED IF GORTAT+15 IS TRADED (SMITH/MEEKS/SATO) ALSO COULD BE TRADED.

ALSO, DON'T BE SURPRISED IF ONE TERP IS DRAFTED....JUSTIN JACKSON????

BEST OUTCOME (FIRST TO COME TO MIND): ZHAIRE SMITH+OMARI SPELLMAN WITH ONE OF BRUNSON/JEVON CARTER/GRAHAM ADDED TO THE ROSTER.

My interest would be to look for expendable players. Phoenix drafts Ayton, must off load Alan Williams/or Bender/or Chris...Charlotte drafts Gilgeous Alexander means SOMEONE is available. Better player bad contract swap possible. .....Kawhi/Lebron gives opportunity to jump in as third team...

Try to buy low ... sell high....get a grittier, more athletic in frontcourt team.

DONTA DiVINCENZO and ZHAIRE SMiTH are in my mind.

GARY CLARK IN ROUND two, along with OMARI SPELLMAN.

Cannot go wrong bringing in Jevon Carter....

WE SHALL SEE

(Apologize for lack of time--much going on here) Aloha and God Bless

Some superfans, without access to all that information, such as Nathan Froe (find him on Twitter @Dat2U) make prescient forecasts about NBA prospects. One of Froe’s best predictions was when he called Stephen Curry “close to perfect” for the NBA when Curry was a sophomore at Davidson. Others, like Ken Holmes (Twitter @CCJKen1), have a gift for finding oddballs that teams overlook, but turn out to be good. One of Holmes’ great picks was Paul Millsap.

Seven guys I think will exceed expectations: Bamba, Jackson Jr., Carter Jr, Zhaire Smith, Donte Divicenzo, Gary Clark, Omari Spellman

Round two has another Millsap, maybe two (Clark and another). There's easily a couple Jimmy Butlers ... Trevon Duval...He's trending WAY WAY up in my mind... don't know why.

Will be VERY interested to see where Rick Brunson goes. NOT ABSURD PICK at 15 IMO...

I am playing this in anticipation of whatever the Wizards do... ( FEEL A TRADE COMING)....

I remember where I was when I first heard AC/DC. Stationed at Osan, Air Base, Republic of South Korea... early 90s....

Don't know why, but I'm in a rock n mood right now...NOT AS WORRIED AS MOST DRAFT NIGHTs...FWIW.

I dance (pretty well, thanks to God); and these songs right now I'm using to lose lbs...

ALSO, been singing a lot and practicing comedy... (Magnum P.I. auditions pretty soon locally)....

PERHAPS, same reason Lamar Jackson, (Heisman winner), went so far after Baker Mayfield and some (definitely IMO) lesser QBs.
