I'm fine with this pick. Now we gotta tell Portis to punch his face, and we got Moses Malone for years to come.

In what world is Carter a great defender? That's kind of the problem.

I would have preferred Kevin Knox he seems to have a all around game at the wing with great size. He would have been a good fit with Dunn Levine and Lauri

I'm so confused as to why you think Carter is some plodding center who can't defend. His biggest value came from the defensive end.

Speed is not something you can really increase unless you lose weight. Speed is genetics as much as anything.

He was at 7.8 percent body fat at the Combine. WCJ could get that number closer to 5 by the time the off season ends and lose 5-10 lbs while maintaining that low body fat percentage. That alone could increase quickness significantly. But if he becomes a maniac in the gym ala James Harden or Victor Oladipo, WCJ could go even further than that.

First off, how many nBa players are below 10% body fat. Hell, Wade and LeBron hung around there and were marvels. Even then, eventually they went up. To expect WCJ to go down to 5% body fat is insane and one of the most unlikeliest events to occur.

I’m confident that back or no back, people will realize in time that MPJ just wasn’t a special prospect. One of the most overhyped players I’d seen. Ever.

Better prospect coming out, Porter or Dougie McBuckets?

Not the sexy pick but the right pick. Dude is the most skilled big the draft right now. Bulls are primed with cap space these next couple years. If they can get a one or two guys in free agency, Guys like Carter Jr and Lavine are prime pieces to be possibly be traded for another. It was not an absolute necessity to land a star in this draft. We just needed someone who provided value. Carter Jr has a way better chance of doing that in the next couple of years than anyone that was available at #7.

My only concern with WCJ is fit in the Hoiball scheme. Other than that, zero concerns. He's going to be a great player and will outperform most peoples expectations on this board.

we gotta trade rolo this summer

no way you let a top-7 pick sit on the bench in year two of a rebuild. just no reason to limit his minutes that way (or, alternatively, no reason to turn rolo into a bench player)

He’s the pick I would have taken there, no complaints from me.

He’ll be boring to watch. Guards tend to dominate selfishly in SL.

Its really not about him. Its how he may fit as a team. He maybe "boring" but Noah or Draymond Green is also boring to watch individually. But with a group, its beautiful.

Guys.
19yo. Good 3pt shooter. Good Ft shooter. Good FT%rate. Good shot blocker. Great rebounder!

Low ceiling?????? You guys are crazy!

You don’t have to like him as a prospect, sure. But his ceiling is NOT low!
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

I was ready for Carter, he's the best possible outcome at 7. But coming into the draft I was hoping that somehow Bulls pulled a trade for Doncic. Or JJJ somehow falls to us. Apparently a lot of teams are very high on JJJ, I'm actually surprised that Memphis keep the pick and draft him. But if he went that high, he wouldn't last pass Dallas or Magic if available.

I wanted Mamba, but we didn't have a chance there. 2nd on my list was Mikal Bridges. Below him was...Wendell Carter Jr. I hate it that he's a Duke guy, because the odds of them working out from Duke, are low. I have low expectations, but he might not bust compared to Michael Porter Jr. I'm good.

The gap in wings between Knox and several guys who will be available at 22 isn’t so big to pass on WCJ.

If the Bulls were going to go wing it should have been Mikal anyway.
