I don’t dislike Young at all. I was good with Bagley, Luca, Young and Porter. Now please Atlanta make a trade with Den and get Porter.

At this point, we can wait and see on him. More than likely we'll be back in the top 3 again, so why not take the risk?

Agreed! Can't imagine Porter lasting until the Hawks next pick unless they trade up but if he is I hope they take a chance on him! I don't think the Hawks will be making the playoffs next season so they could probably bring Porter along slowly.

Now would be the time for us to take that Faried contract and give 19 for Porter. I was against it before, but that was before MPJ fell.

Lonnie Walker would be a good pick at 19.

Sign me up. Zhaire would be nice too.

So if we keep all four picks, how the hell are we getting rid of Dennis and Baze?

Helps with the Young pick for those discerned. 1-4 would look solid for a young core.

I know I'm in the minority but I really am not mad at this. I hate people acting like Young has no chance. Would I have loved Luka? Of course but I think Schlenk has a plan for our remaining picks and a knockdown scorer is something the Hawks just never have. Believe in Young guys.

I don't mind the trade it's the return...a top 5 protected pick in a weaker draft and the likelyhood that Dallas won't be deliberately tanking again.

We can also afford to wait for Lonnie's development. We should be in contention for another top 3 pick next year.

I'm not against a Trae Young pick, it's also the return from pick3 to pick5 that I don't like.

Now, I think it could have been easier to be in Top3 pick next year with Doncic than Young, because Doncic was more used to play with veteran than young guys, and more than that, he could have stay one more year with Madrid if he wanted, and it would have been a double win

You're right Travis, defense is overrated. Huerter at 19.

I really like the way this draft is shaking out to be honest. Many don't like the value of dropping from 3 to 5, but if the Mavs end up with the 7th pick, I think we end up with better value than most think.
