Yep, if BKN hits a home run here, there's going to be a lot of revisionist history thrown at Masai's way.

They traded two picks so they could avoid the tax for Serge. Masai deserves a ton of criticism for this even if Brooklyn drafts a bust.

Will not be acceptable to stay the course with this roster.

Any player we envision trading has negative trade value

Dude has the ability to be a defensive force, which is what Boston needed at C.

that interior contest balance can be coached though. instincts are there so that helps.

is he bad in space? I haven't seen enough tape on him

Defensively he reminds me a lot of Andre Drummond. Gets caught ball watching, can lose his man, isn't particularly a great post defender. Poor defensive awareness and decision making makes him a prime target for 1/5 PnRs

I just think NBA offenses that play with a lot of spacing will make it tough for him. He should be able to record blocks and get rebounds, maybe catch some lobs but I don't think he'll be as impactful as per36 numbers may suggest.

Celtics already have a better bench big in Daniel Theis, though Williams is 5-6 years younger so...
