Having talented rookies on the team is fine.

Value-wise, this was our best pick in my opinion. He was the best player on his team in France at 20, which is considered one of the better and more athletic leagues in Europe and lit up the best team in the playoffs. NBA 3-point range, scores off the bounce and catch, plays PnR well, developing playmaker, solid defensive potential with his frame and athleticism. Not going to get my hopes too high, but I personally had him over a lot of guys that went in the first round.

This is something I did not expect heading into the draft, and since I felt this is a really strong class I'm glad they decided to draft guys they intend to keep.

3 more rooks and all the statements about getting productive vets to mix in makes me feel like anyone not named Booker and to a lesser extent Josh Jackson have about a 50/50 chance of being on the team opening day.

I would not have been upset if the Suns drafted him at 16.

Exciting pick! hell I would have preferred him to dante had they stayed at 16. Dudes got some game but might need time to figure it out.

This is the pick I am jealous of. Many Jazz fans wanted Okobo at 21. He looks good. You should be happy! Good luck.

Steal. Would've been fine with you guys taking him at 16. You needed to come out with at least one pick being a PG and you got one.

Great shooter, great PnR game, decent athleticism and measurables, needs to make big strides on the defensive end though, but he has potential there, in theory.

You guys had a fantastic draft. Big-Wing-Point

Many of us Magic fans wanted to package our 2 second rounders to trade up for Okobo

Intrigued by this pick. He has great size and quickness, and seems to run the pick and roll very well. Nice looking stroke as well. That's generally a recipe for PG success in the NBA.

Very good international prospect.
Cant wait to see him in the Summer League.

Draft die-hards have probably already seen this but for the rest of us here's a great write-up on Okobo from The Stepien: https://www.thestepien.com/2018/02/15/hiding-plain-sight-elie-okobo/

If he could develop and be a starter in a couple years it would be so huge for this rebuild.

The suns are due for a late round gem. Dragic was their last one that panned out and that was a decade ago.

With his size and shooting, I don't see how he doesn't see some time next season.
