PJ Brown? LOL

I don't love the pick, but give me a break. Do better. Awful comparison.

Who are the free agent centers that you think are so good that are available that would want to come here? In my opinion the entire free agent class this year absolutely sucks.

It's perfectly understandable that we keep adding bigs, since the backcourt is apparently set for the next 10 years.

Only thing we need now is a LaVine max for this season to receive an A++ grade.

(Yeah, Carter was probably BPA, yad yada. I get it. Doesn't mean I have to like it.)

Who are these centers the Bulls should be trying to pay? Capela, Cousins, Kanter, Howard? How does giving them any type of money help in the second year of a rebuild?
Losing to get high draft picks and hoping they turn into franchise players is not some next level, genius move. That's what teams want to happen in any rebuild/tank or whatever you want to market it as.

WCJ plays defense though. What the hell are you on about?

Well he knows 1 vs 1 defense at college level, but his body & core looks very weak, is he strong enough to battle against NBA players? He is very slow player and it could cause big issues at team defense. If people was worried about Lauri they should be **** horrified about this guy. Way bigger bust potential all the way. I am just being realist and at the same time losing my last hopes with the team, because it seems to be that GarPax doesn't have any idea what he is doing. For some reason he picks stretch four-five at every single draft, even our team is full of them.

The goal should be to strike out in free agency this year. Would make no sense to spend big money on free agents right now.

Wendell Carter Jr, while not the most athletetic out of all the other bigs, probably has the most skills. We know he can score inside, shoot, rebound, and defend.

But the one skill he has that people tend to forget is his ability to pass. He's probably a big reason why Bagley had a productive season. Now imagine pairing him with Lauri, they're going to look great and feed off one another.

1. Lauri plays defense. Good defense. Very good even. Not great, but he’s plus.

2. Carter is a plus defender as well. In theory. He’s not Bagley.

3. Carter can shoot the 3, but he’s not a “stretch” big. Interior offense is his bread and butter, but he is a credible threat to shoot from the outside.

1. I know. He is better defender than Carter.

2. His footwork is akward at defense and its easy to burn him from perimeter. He is good rim protector & rebounder but sucks at every other area.

3. We will see. I don't see him offering anything for our offense that it doesn't already have . I will be surprised if he ever reaches 10 PPG per season.

Carter has similar draft measurements to Anthony Davis coming into the draft. I’d like to know what WCJ’s vertical & max vert are....

I understand why you're asking, but I don't think it matters, because even if his vertical was the same, his game isn't about high flying dunks, so I don't think that's going to change because now he is the NBA. I say this because there are so many prospects over the years who had massive verticals, but it didn't mean crap, because they just weren't skilled enough to put their vertical to good use.

Carter can ram it down, and he will give the guards a bigger and bouncier target than someone like Bobby for alley-oops though, that much I'm confident about, because he is quick on his feet and longer to get up for those lobs.

Pretty funny how deep the Bulls are into Duke players. Carter is our fourth top 7 pick from Duke in the last 18 or 19 years. You had Elton brand then Jay Williams then Luol Deng and now Carter. We also drafted Chris Duhon. We also signed Mike Dunleavy who was the number 3 overall pick from Duke. Didn't we have another couple of Duke players? Didn't we have Jimmer Fredette for a game or two or something?

Jimmer didn't play for Duke. You can add Boozer to the list though.

i know it's super lazy to compare the guy you drafted to a guy that's already on your team, but i think there are some common links between lopez and carter that are good signs for how he'll mesh with markkanen.

it's good to have a guy who can rebound/box out next to lauri. it's good to have a potentially stout interior defender. it's good to have a big man who can pass (and is used to feeding a big man in the post, even!). it's good to have a low-post emergency valve you can dump it into if all else fails

and carter seems to improve on a lot of lopez's biggest deficiencies - specifically, he's more mobile and has better range shooting. it will be nice to have a center you can credibly stick on the perimeter when you want to run pick and roll action with lauri.

Good catches. Can't believe I thought Fredette was a Duke player all these years.

Carter is a good defender and shot blocker...

I'm learning that Coach K hasn't been so good at creating defensive schemes that can be learned by a roster full of 1 year players. I think similarly to Tatum, Carter will end up being better than advertised on the defensive end.

Not as confident in Bagley, because his problem seems to be that he thinks a beat slow. Which maybe is okay for a player who was supposed to be a senior in high school (only played 3 years of HS).
