Two dunks make more points than a three and with far better percentages.

I don’t think there are the red flags upshaw had. I think he is a lot like Clint Capella coming in. NBA draft room compared him to Antonio Davis and Chris Wilcox. I see him as a fair bit more athletic than those guys. And longer.

Bob: "I don't have to score to be a great player. I think that's my biggest attribute. Defense comes first for me. I rebound and screen and all that, and so the scoring, it comes late for me. That's not the biggest thing that's on my mind."

Love the mindset. Also mentions Tristan Thompson as a comparison for what his role is gonna be.

Have not read this anywhere at all. I was of the understanding that supposed motor issues and lack of refined offensive game were most likely why he fell. Are there any sources talking about medical issues?

On mobile right now but a ringer article grading the draft mentions it. Read something about knee concerns earlier as well.

Would love to see these two squads go at it at the Auerbach Center!

Young athletes with great length lineup: TRo/JB/JT/Theis/Williams

Cagey vets lineup:
Kyrie/Smart/Hayward/Morris/Horf
Paul Pierce appreciation society.

I just hope this kid comes in and acts as a sponge.

The rumblings about his work ethic dont bother me to much cause I cannot see Smart/Morris/Horf/Kyrieputting up with someone not working hard.

so just drink in knowledge, learn offense and defensive schemes, listen to Brad, work on that jumper.

and watching those highlights makes me imaging Irving pick and rolls with him with the floor spaced by Tatum, Hayward and Brown....damn....

Lmaooooo bro, what is this post?

Williams is a completely different player than Yabusele or Sullinger.

This kid is DeAndre Jordan-lite.

Jordan is taller at 6'11 but their wingspan is identical at 7'6. Good post.

Dude has a 9’4 standing reach. Really doesn’t need to grow anymore.

Where are his real measurements? I see nothing when searching?

Slept on the pick last night, so I'd have more to offer than combo guard jokes.

I think the biggest benefit of the Robert Williams III pick is that we can let Baynes walk. I like Baynes, but re-signing a 20 MPG player coming off a career year at their price, not your price, is bad business. Danny knows this.

With Smart or Rozier, if one is gone there's a plan B. If you move Jaylen, there's a plan B, and if you did move him its probably for another versatile wing. With Baynes you didn't have a plan B.

Best Player Available is a nice theory but sometimes you need to use the draft to replace cheap roles with cheap players. That's hopefully what we just did.

Is there a material difference between Williams and Mo Bamba? Other than 3 inches of wingspan?

Bamba is a better shooter but Williams is a more active player.

Williams almost surely isn't ready to take on that responsibility as a rookie, and the Celtics are going for the title next year. They have every intention of re-signing Baynes.

Thanks. Yet Bamba went 21 picks earlier?
