Any relation to that guy in New Orleans?

I like Diallo as a second round pick. I have no idea if he ever makes it out of the G-league but his athleticism is lottery level and it sounds like he has a very strong work ethic. That’s about all you can ask for from a second round pick, IMO.

I think he was hoping we'd trade up or something.

I would've liked some type of move, but it's more the frustration of watching that whole thing and not really having any chance of being excited for next year at the end of the night. That's apparently what it feels like when you've got no assets and aren't contending.

I agree. I think Presti's sort of made a mess of this whole thing at this point. At least we got last night behind us. Now we've only got the 1st round pick from the Grant trade still oustanding.

Yea and if I recall correctly that pick is protected 1-20 and if it doesn’t convey it roles over to two seconds the following year. We have a decent shot to keep that one. If George leaves, then the pick is most likely retained.

Something about Hervey's frame bugs me. It reminds me of Grant Jerrett. Hope to god he's better than Jerrett. He couldn't be much worse.

(I know this is all very silly)

i dunno anything about any of these players but i'm going to assume they are all good athletes who can't dribble or shoot.

Apparently that only describes Diallo. Hall can't really dribble but can shoot. Hervey appears to be a volume scorer from what I gather though the belief is he can become a decent shooter in a role smaller than what he had as 'the man' in the Sunbelt conference.

Given Presti's track record, the team should be able to develop at least one of them three to four years down the line, then. 8-)

Wonder which one of these dudes is the odd man out and misses out on the NBA/D-League contract thing. We only have 2 of those to give right?

We likely retain their rights and try to get them on the blue.

How long as Daniel Hamilton been kicking around the organization? I know he has one of the 2 way contracts last season. I might cut bait with him or give him a 10 day just to reward him for his patience and then cut bait. Also Dozier appears to have done next to nothing last season. Hate to move on from so called developmental prospects too soon but then again, this is a put up or shut up league.

I would think that the Thunder would like to bring back Daniel Hamilton on one of the 2 way contracts. I dont know there are benefits of signing a 2nd rounder to a 2-way contract.

Highly doubt they keep Diallo in the G-League. Diallo crushed the combine last year and he’ll be 20 at the end of July. Not bad.

I think Diallo is going to surprise a lot of folks starting this year. I think we will see a little bit of shuffling in the rotation between Diallo, Ferguson, and Abrines.

One of the things I have been reading about him is the lack of space he played in college. With the NBA giving him more space he might be one of these break out players. I also reas somewhere that he lost 4 inches on his max vertical between this years and last years combine. He was a draft prospect for a couple of months last year then decided to go back to Kentucky.

How does that happen? Was he injured?

It all depends on his ability to develop actual basketball skills and not just catch dunks. His ft% is pretty weak. I read that although he isn’t a good shooter, his shot isn’t necessarily broken.

If Diallo is going to replace anyone, I think they're going to try to groom him for the Roberson spot.
