. Truly, one of the most awsome moments in my sporting life! Bonds took Mike Bacsik deep into center field in the bottom of the 5th inning to become the New All Time Home Run King.
Congrats Barry!!

To those that got to see history made with Barry Bonds drive to deep center field last night and the festivities that followed, "Was that cool or what?"'
I'm gonna go so far as to say that Barry Bonds is a "class act." Some say he cheated, some say he dosen't care about his fans, and others still say he is a but whole. I ain't buying it, take it down the road. The man has, through it all, kept his cool, been a team player, said the things that needed to be said, and marched steady toward his goal.
Moving onward, he needs 85 hits for 3000, 19 RBI's for 2000, and 1 double for 600. i know we need to get younger and move some players but i would very much like to see Barry remain a Giant. He is the Giants. I can not imagine watching a Giants game without him on the team. He is as good as it gets and now that this HR record is his, he will, on top of everything else, hit for better average.

I think what Bonds did was great. But he isn't a class act, he admitted using steroids in a Grand Jury testimony....I don't understand how you can still think he didn't use them.

Bonds admitted to useing something that his trainer gave him for artritus. The Grand Jury said it sounded like he was refering to the clear and the cream. Bond did not admit to useing steroids in any way and unlike scores of other players, has never failed a test. We have been through this many times before and i tire of it. Write it down, if you need links i have them.
My statement of Bonds being a "Class Act" refers to the way he has handled himself these last few years. He fought through multiple surgeries, delt with thousands of verbal and written attacks against his family, himself, and his game. He was told that he was all washed up, couldn't play, and god knows what else, all the while keeping focused on what he had to do. Through all this constant hounding by the media, I have yet to see him handle a situation that was not done with at least a small amount of "Class." I can not imagine any other person or player standing up to what Bonds did and handling it near as well.

He disrespected the game of baseball by not doing something about the roids issue sooner...he got himself into this mess
