To me the most intriguing and inexplicable thing about this whole draft is Divac openly telling everybody he doesn't like Doncic before the draft and then proving he actually meant it. The most WTF NBA moment in years.

Did we discuss the report that Milwaukee agreed to a trade down last night with Atlanta, but Atlanta saw Woj's tweets about who was going to be taken before the 19th pick and realized they didn't need to trade with us anymore?

IMO McCoy is not close to the NBA, maybe not even close enough for a 2 way, but he's big and he tries and it's worth getting him in camp and at least giving the Herd first crack among G League teams.

don't know anything about this report, but I'm willing to bet Atlanta knew who was picked the same time Woj did.

Schlenk said our pick was leaked to the media so he pulled out of the deal. Allllllll that secrecy around workouts and we **** it up by texting Woj 2 minutes before payday.

Well that is interesting.

It's back on, apparently a miscommunication due to time zone difference.

Considering DiVincenzo was about 30 seconds away from being drafted by the Suns ahead of us, has there been any info on what we would've done instead? Kind of curious to know who we would've picked.

But EVERY pick was leaked. I mean I am not happy, but there is obviously some kind of symbiotic relationship with giving info to Woj in exchange for getting info from Woj that all GMs are apparently taking advantage of.

But yeah, that sucks.

the picks are leaked because the draft is a tv show. the actual draft is running faster than the broadcast and unless Woj has a contact in every teams FO, which I doubt, he is getting his info from someone at the NBA offices.

I'd suspect it might be a little of both, he is constantly dropping stuff leading up to the draft too, which would have no reason to come from the league office.

Doesn't jibe with Schlenk's account. If Woj has the info because the Bucks already made the pick, there's no deal to nix.

Good article on Barnett. Had a crazy year shooting and then got suspended for a DUI at the end of the season.

McCoy V Ayton

I have to say, if I had just tanked diligently a whole year, then the ping pong balls fell my way, and I invested my #1 pick on Ayton, and that's how he plays D... I'd be very very annoyed.

That had to be the least talented 30+ game I have ever seen. Who the **** advised this kid to come out of school? Bad hands, bad passer, can't set a screen, doesn't roll, doesn't contest shots. Obviously limited sample size but this is not the type of center I want on our roster.

funny enough he reminded of Henson lol

Was just listening to the Zach Lowe podcast, and he brought up an amazing fact.

As you all remember well, a few years back, Phoenix traded the Lakers 1st round pick to Philly as well as trading Goran Dragic to Miami for two future 1st round picks.

Last night, they traded both of the picks that they got for Dragic to get that Lakers pick back.

Also on the Lowe podcast, he mentions that after selecting Michael Porter, Denver immediately got on the phone with Washington, Milwaukee, and probably Phoenix in an attempt to also acquire Zhaire Smith who they apparently badly wanted. They were offering their 2nd round pick from last night along with a "lightly protected" 1st round pick for either next year or the year after and one of their young guys that hasn't played much (presumably Lydon or Hernangomez if I had to guess).

Joel BolomSoggyBottomBoy. I am a man of great sorrow about this choice. He's not the bonafide paterfamilias of 2-way signings, that's for sure.
