It wouldn't be unusual, I wouldn't be surprised if there were quite a few NBA players who were at an 8th grading reading level or lower when they came into the league.

I dont see how anybody can’t see that he seems to be a good kid. His interviewing skills are awkard as hell but nowhere do I see an atitude problem. I’ve been to Lousiana quite often for business and the school systems down south are definetly not on par with those in metropolitan areas like NY. He may not be well eduated or skilled in interviews but the boy has all the tools. I hope Fizdale is the real deal and cares about his men, because if he can gain ghe trust of this young man, we are in for a treat.

Off the court it will depend on who he's hanging out with. He's obviously made some questionable decisions so far and you gotta think he has plenty of people giving him advice so he needs to make sure he has the right people hanging out with him off the court.

Mitchell can dunk with one dribble from THE OTHER 3 point line! It's incredible.

Yes Colin Cowherd

I know a guy who is a total introvert, can barely put a sentence together and is yet is just an amazing athlete. Mitchell being introverted means absolutely nothing.

I was shocked knicks got Mitchell I thought they would go for double Kentucky guys Knox/Vanderbilt but still a good pick. This probably the most athleticism i have seen on knicks since Zeke days lol.

He’s made some incredibly odd decisions too.

With each new video I get a bigger and bigger grin. I can deal with the Knox pick and I'm cautiously optimistic about it. But the #36 pick feels like a grand slam. His abilities are out of this world!! We were looking to trade up and take Parsons' salary to get Bamba. This kid has similar skillset, played in the same Mc'Donalds All American game and we got him in the second round because he chose not to do the college route and we didn't see him as much as Bamba. Sure that could work against him but we had a 2nd rounder and we got Bamba's potential without taking on Parson's contract and STILL got the guy Fizdale wanted @ 9!!!! Even if Robinson becomes the second coming of JaVale McGee, we got this freak 18yr old athlete who could've gone top ten @ #36!!!!!

I can imagine that introverted people often express themselves through sports, music, etc., in a way that could give an edge. A bit like compensation, channeling or the like.

To be fair I think the media runs with what he says. The actual quote is much more benign. Ideally Mitchell is a rim running big who can contain isolations on a switch which is pretty much Capela's whole game.

Well, he's also given them material to run with

Comparing Lance to Draymond, Mudiay to Wade/Tyreke Evans :noway:

Yeah I get it, he wasnt directly comparing them and its not like he can come out and say "these guys suck" but I can live without the name drops/over the top player profiles

I’d be very happy with a McGee clone at 36.

McGee clone with less mental errors/higher BBIQ is a pretty damn good player, excellent value @ 36
