This alone tells me that at JUST 18 years old this guys was lighting it up! Can you imagine him on the Fastbreak with Prince Frank, Porzingis & the other youngin's! :o :droop:

He was a energy/defense guy in high school so lets hope he returns to his former self.

KP and Frank aren’t these up and down the court type of guys either.

So many people gonna be disappointed in this kid.

Hope he gets it right but the boy is raw as hell. I’m talking two years away from being two years away raw.

Can’t believe we drafted another player that doesn’t have that dog in him right after drafting Frank.

Positivity & optimism though so....**** it.

Francesa’s take on our pick and other comments about the draft. Actually pretty decent review.

Of course Fizdale is going to back up the Knicks pick. What did you expect him to say, that Kevin Knox isn't as talented as Michael Porter Jr but we chose him over him because he was the healthier of the two?

It's pretty funny the kind hate this kid is getting, people make crap up in their minds about him and criticizing him over it. I have my concerns like others do but he's a Knick, I'm going to support him and hope he works hard to prove the haters wrong.

The entire league is two years away from being two years away from being able to maybe beat this warriors team or lebron's next superteam anyway so who cares really? Yeah, this is a rebuild and we aren't winning the championship for years, we drafted long term prospects instead of "win now" prospects and this is the reality of our situation. I think it's the right direction given the state of the league and of this team

Timmy actually is very good on the break. If Fiz can get this team to play the kind of disruptive defense that produces turnovers and fast breaks, Tim could do very well.

Isn't diving to the floor considered defense? But seriously, I'm hoping that a defensive minded coach like Fiz would have liked what he saw from Kevin's defense or he would not be this crazy happy about Knox.

This is why I wanted to draft him. We could have had the New York version of The Process.
But I'm down with Knox and he's the GOAT until proven otherwise.

Drafting Porter it would be called the procedure...of the medical kind.

There's no question, the Knicks were smart not to draft Michael Porter Jr who couldn't even answer whether or not he'd be able to play in the 2018-9 season. Rumor has it, he'll be out.

What Fizdale hasn't answered is the fact, Knox can't create his own shot. He's a streaky shooter. In other words, he's a cheaper Tim Hardaway Jr but with better reach...so he'll be better defensively (we hope).

The Knicks who have a kid like Frank Ntilikina who doesn't take it to the hole a lot despite his size...sets guys up on the perimeter may need another ball handler who can create...but until then, this may or may not limit Knox's effectiveness.

:o

So you WANTED us to have ANOTHER Red Shirt Rookie?! :-?

What, were Frye & Gallo not enough? Or maybe Frank missing time his Rookie Season was too little. Maybe Porzingis tearing his ACL was too mild for you?!

Those GMs were wise it seems for being overly cautious with him for their Lottery picks my dude! How long have I been preaching that MPJr is at the bottom of my list because of those VERY SAME injury concerns/risks?!

Now what?! Could you imagine the uproar right now if this news came out in NYC about him possibly missing not only Summer League, but possibly Red Shirting his 1st Season too?! :o :nonono:
